Very helpful information explained clearly. Thank you so much, I’ve been listening to Spotify for 6 months now free getting a feel for it and I really like it. I would probably carry on with the free version only for the fact we’re going on a cruise so I want to have music to listen to without using wifi or data. Being able to download the music to listen to off line seems to be the answer. I must admit I struggle to get my head around the technology behind the process. I take it the downloaded music is stored on the phones cache and you can clear that as and when needed without using your storage. It’s amazing how ever they do it and if it means music on the cruise I’m in! You helped me make that decision to switch. Just a question, if at some point I wanted to discontinue using Spotify all together is it true you have to do it on a computer? I’m using the iPad Pro and will also use on my Samsung phone once on premium. Thanks again 👍🏻🇬🇧 ….🎉 I’m now on premium Spotify and love it. It’s truly amazing. Just need to watch your video again to refresh my memory on how to put a play list on my Home Screen. Cruise here I come 🎼🎵🎶💃🛟⛴

Hey Charles. I learned several things on this video but I wish you would do an addendum on how to actually download songs to make a playlist. I try to make a playlist of individual songs but I am downloading the whole album. Also how do I delete individual songs when I want a whole album except for a couple of songs.

I have a question I hope you can answer. I transferred virtually all of my Apple Music to Spotify. It’s all pretty much there when I look at my mobile device. When I go to my CarPlay, however, and I click on artists, it only goes from A to J (Joe Walsh being the last artist is shows I have). But on the my phone I do go all the way to Z plus any groups that have numbers in their names. Any suggestions on how to fix that?

Hi ThePionier56, good question, unfortunately when you 'download' songs from Spotify you don't actually get the mp3 file to have on your computer, it's another file that allows for offline listening, so if you leave Spotify premium then I believe you cannot listen to your downloaded songs anymore because that is a specific premium feature.

If you're on desktop and a song is on, but you forgot from which playlist it is. Just click on image of song in bottom left corner. It will open the playlist it is from. Make sure you click on image and NOT on expand button.

i dont know, the updates for spotify are annoying me. it seems theyre trying to stop you from having the music, and just trying to push new music (if that makes sense). its like theyre taking away control of how you listen to what you want, limiting your ways. like, i used to be able to "save" an album, so if i heard something new and wanted to give it a try when i was free... id just save it, and itll be saved with the rest of the albums i put there. if i like the album, its always there, if not, i get rid of it. now what? they took away that feature and i either gotta follow or "like" an album i never heard. what am i missing?? we're losing control of how we listen to music... since the old school itunes. ☹️

Listen, all I want to do is search for songs, add them to my playlist and listen to them, and ONLY THEM. I don't want any music suggested to me. On the free version I have added some songs, but I've not heard ONE OF THEM YET, all it will do is play the songs they added. If I purchase the premium version will I be able to play ONLY MY SONGS. Hey Marcus, i believe automix is a feature spotify was testing that was similar to crossfade but it improved the song transitions on some playlists even more, like taking out intro/outros or even extending them a but to mix into the next song.

It is 2021 and you cant import a playlist into Spotify. WTF. It is the little things like that which makes me disappointed in tech. We are 10 years behind in terms of user experience not because of technology, but due to business plans that try to carve out echo systems and limit what we can do because it brings in a penny more.
