Lovely Video, I have the 2020 Hypers on my Bike and no regrets whatsoever. They have been very Reliable so far, and they have assist me in reaching 20mph average on my regular 38 mile rides which includes long flats and high grade hills so they are pretty decent even for Climbing. I'm joining ironman next year and was thinking of getting the new Hypers. Do you need Air compressor for setting up tubeless tires? Also, how is the comfort level on these wheels?
@sbccbc74712 жыл бұрын
If comfort is what you want in a carbon wheelset, HYPERs are not the best choice as the carbon spokes ramp up the wheelset's stiffness, to the point some riders will say it's too stiff for them due to the lack of compliance.
@HarishChouhan2 жыл бұрын
@@sbccbc7471 Thanks for your reply. I ride a aluminium bike (Trek Emonda ALR) so was a bit concerned that combined with a stiff wheel might make it super uncomfortable. I'm 70Kgs so not exactly a light rider. If you have used these wheels, can you let me know if the road vibrations are very noticeable with them or just a bit?
@CharlesOuimet2 жыл бұрын
Air compressor is not needed for tubeless, but sometime yes. It depents on the tire/wheel combo. Comfort wise, I'd say it's all about tire choice and pressure. With your aluminium bike, I'd say you'll be fine with the hypers, just go for 28 or 30mm tires setup around 60-75 PSI, you'll be golden!!!
@HarishChouhan2 жыл бұрын
@@CharlesOuimet Thanks mate. For 28mm tires, do you have any recommendation? I'd likely go with inner tubes for now. Also, the PSI you recommended is for tubeless setup, right?
@CharlesOuimet2 жыл бұрын
@@HarishChouhan Yes tubeless allows lower PSI for increased comfort since you can't pinch flat a tube!!! Depending on your weight, I'dd add maybe 15-20 PSI, so in the range of 75-90 should be good

Hi! 🙂 Maybe u could help to decide what brand and which carbon wheels should I get? My rides are ussualy 30-100km with 100-400 meters of total climbs, so pretty flat. I think I should get around 45-50mm deep wheels? I could buy new zipp 303s from local shop for around 700 EU, or it would worth to spend around 1170 eu for Windpace hyper wheels? Or maybe something else? Also prefer louder hub sound as there where i live many pedestrians walking on bike paths and i dont like bells 🙂
