Wow, I didn’t see how easily moving the front foot telegraphs the jab! It is much more deceptive using the preloaded back foot. Thank you for this
@thebjagrelli Жыл бұрын
That was really game changing for me. Just started boxing and did a sparring session last weekend, my training partner told me it was very easy to know when I was about to throw a jab because I telegraphed it with my front leg. Just going to practice this over and over now.
@Cloppa20002 жыл бұрын
Having been boxing training for years, your tips are incredible! That tip about the step! Whilst the rest of the world are prescribing the falling step, or saying step step.. you demonstrate in seconds the difference of moving the front leg first or pushing with the rear. Also I've never seen anyone add the block, catch or parry to the jab. You have an incredible aptitude for teaching!

Thanks and you have a good eye for observation... I was a maths teacher before
@Cloppa20002 жыл бұрын
@@Charlessalbox Thanks Charles. I do have very good observation. I notice things most people miss. Maths was my favourite subject and I learnt that the teacher can make all the difference! I went from failing gce engineering drawing to getting a grade A 4 mths later just because of a change of teacher.. Same applies in absolutely everything. Though I have never taught professionally, I have often been told I'm a good teacher when explaining something as I am detailed and precise exactly like you are. Next time I'm passing Brixton I will call in your gym.. or if you are ever Romford way let me know. Will be watching and practicing your tutorials intensely in the coming months. 👍

I love reviewing the basics! Always a student of the sport. Best explanation of the jab and how not to push your punches. Would like to see a follow up video on doing the double & triple jab. I’m always trying to keep that snap on the second and third but seems to decrease. Think I was recoiling too much after watching this video. Thanks for the pros and cons of different defensive moves. Wish I learned this correctly from day 1. Thanks for sharing Coach!

This is very interesting. I always tought there is a rotation of the shoulder needed for twisting of the arm. Are there any differences in the body mechanichs when the jab is performed stationary without the step forward ? Or in that case comes to the rotation of the shoulder ? If somebody reads this and knows, be so kind and answer me. Thank you. I really enjoy the content of this channel
