It sounds like real country, but if you knew that he grew up in NYC singing music in the subways that sounds nothing like country and only changed his sound a few years ago, would that change your mind?

RC he did not grow up doing that. He grew up in south Texas and later moved to Dallas and performed in Dallas

H and M Fishing ok, maybe he didn’t grow up in NY but is early stuff sounded nothing like this and the videos show him in NY subways. It was far from “Real” country.

I give it to the camera crew as much Charley. This is a masterpiece. Been listening since 2019. This will go down in my books with Hank and Merle and Willie. Like the aperture at 1:49 that is epic

Really can't believe this comment. You can't be serious. Tanya Tucker did this song way WAY better when she was 14 years old. This hack cannot be compared to Hank, Waylon, etc. Those guys sang for real, this guy is all Autotune and there's so much reverb it sounds like he's singing under a bridge, which he should be.

Everyone who is saying modern country sucks (which is right) should listen to Charley Crockett and Colter Wall, that’ll change their minds right away. I love some popular modern artists like Wallen but they are nowhere near as talented as these independent artists
