@@ameliej6690 Actually, “baby talk” is known technically as “infant-directed speech,” and it’s GREAT for speech and language development in babies and toddlers! It helps them parse out the different speech sounds, words, and syntactic structures because speech is slower and more exaggerated then in typical adult conversation. (From a soon-to-be speech therapist who has studied child speech and language development extensively)
