Charlie is a street rat who at times, is either completely incapable of being manipulated by Dennis, or is extremely gullible to the point it's pathetic so Dennis gets no pleasure from it. Charlie is probably one of the only people that Dennis actually views as a person and not simply a tool to manipulate. I'm making it sound more complex than it is but I think it makes sense lol

Charlie, they aren’t the same. Chalk in terms of geology is made of calcium carbonate, not sodium bicarbonate. Carbonate is a much stronger base than bicarbonate and can cause burns to the internal mucus surfaces. But that’s not what sidewalk or black board chalk is made of. It used to be made of calcium carbonate but now it’s made of calcium sulfate which has virtually no antiacidic property since sulfuric acid is an extremely strong acid and the sulfate ion won’t want to pick up hydrogen ions to revert back to sulfuric acid.
