But you also need to consider that Palestine, at the beginning, did not have any israeli's in it. It only had palestinians before the development of israel. Israel having the upper hand due to millitary power and country alliances lead to it over taking palestine and making it seem that it was doing them a favor by keeping them in their own country and giving them food, drink and electricity. Palestine being a 1 country land is stated in many history books.

Lot of history, political and economic leverage is managed in that region. It’s fair, your statement/rhetorical question, why give them money? On a basic setting I agree. But there’s so things- contracts, leverage, treaties etc etc tied up in that region. Likely will never end. But you can fairly state your case with that question but you’d have to be consistent and ask two things: One: why did we pull our troops from there? Hate it or not our military keeps chaos at bay. Two: why are we sending money to fund Ukraine. Russia is simple a political ally/nemesis because they have nukes. That region offers nothing of advantage on the global stage and Ukraine, like the little Palestinians- brought that in themselves. They’re a very corrupt nation. Funding Israel benefits this country and the western world astronomically more than throwing money to thuggish goons. War is war, if we wanted we could smoke anyone but we play the political proxy game because believe it or not: war is terrifying but the guerilla warfare going on the last seventy years is peaceful compared to when wars were fought to be won.

As this student talks about Gaza, maybe he should ask himself why Gazans have so many children and how fast that population has grown. Does that sound like a genocide? Next, he's a bright guy and should be able to do the math - what percentage of Gaza's total population perished after Oct 7? He can use the inflated Hamas numbers if desired. That percentage is small and at no level constitutes a "genocide." Withholding food, water, and such. Israel is under no obligation to aid the enemy at any level. What should be said is that food stores and fuel were in Gaza at this time and Hamas sat on it and refused to give to the public to whom they claim leadership. Food, water and more were brought in and Hamas by gunpoint redirected it. The list goes on in this area as it is not simply Israel cutting off anyone. We already know that as the US tried (sigh) to build a floating pier for aid to enter, Hamas blew up the landsite where it would connect. The more Gazans that die, the happier Hamas is as they use it as a tool of propaganda against Israel. As for confining Gaza - under "normal peace behavior" it would be offensive what Israel is doing but* Gaza has been a hotbed of terrorist jihadist and Hamas has put in its charter to kill all Jews and wipe out Israel. .Iran supports Hamas and as such, it would be insane of Israel not to take measures to limit Gaza.

Charlie needs to understand that there are International laws of war that every country must follow.. if broken it is deemed a war crime. Cutting off water and aid to innocent civilians is a war crime. There are Palestinians that hate Hamas and are being punished for crimes they did not commit. This is collective punishment and that is why people are against Israel and their war tactics.. because it’s very obvious that they do not care who dies. Once again, they invited war by rejecting the partition plan. It's the same Arab behaviour. They thought they would easily win the war so THE ARAB ARMIES told the arabs in Israel to clear out so they wouldn't get hurt. The Jews still let many of them stay/come back as opposed to all the Arab countries who forced the Jews out from their countries. So no, I wouldn't shed a tear for them.
