Hopefully this will expose him to a broader audience. Thank you for featuring him. I Saw Charlie in a micro brewery in downtown Duluth, MN over 20 years ago. He is like a time machine into the 1930’s. I had ONE of their home brewed beers, and felt the world start to spin. Slept in my car that night afraid to drive home.

20+ years ago I worked at a little tavern for a winter while a student... Charlie Parr had a weekly gig there back then. I love his music now just as much as I did then. I hoped back then he would be relatively famous someday, I'm glad he has.

Saw Charlie at The Governor Hindmarsh Pub in Adelaide, Australia. There was a local opening act then this guy arrives on stage looking like road crew, opens a guitar case, pulls it out and plugs it out, plays a few riffs...and I am thinking "is that him?". OH THAT WAS HIM!!!..Then for the next hour or so pure magic happened. I am more a country fan than blues but I wept that night. I stole a poster and got him to sign it and somewhere I have a pic of a large Aussie shaking a slightly bemused Charlie's hand. This man is pure class, all substance, no shitfuckery.
