Charlie's problem was that he used to stress too much. He should've used backing vocals on the high notes early in his career but, he didn't, cause he wanted to do it naturally but, that stressed his vocal chords. Now, he understands where to use help from backing track.

Watermelon Clorox Bleach well most men have naturally low voices, like a baritone for instance. They're naturally low sounding so when you play high people freak out. But it's easier to go high because you have to try so hard to hit the notes, and when you go low you really have to relax to try to hit the low notes.

Watermelon Clorox Bleach If you're talking about the falsetto parts, everyone can (kinda) do it, if you don't know which part is falsetto it's the voice that starts from "she said boy tell me honestly" part which might be part of the refrein (falsetto is basically the high notes that sounds kinda girly for a guy) im a guy too, so you can take my word. if you sing low to high relaxed, you will feel your voice crack a bit at some point and transition to a breathier and softer voice, it'll also vibrate in your head more than your throat or chest, that's falsetto, falsetto doesn't really require a too much training hence why I bet you can do it too naturally, but if you try reaching high notes with real full chest voice, that's where you really need power and training, and he shows that in the "youre the only one i wanna love" part. You see how it's different to falsetto notes? Yeah, I think that's why the other person says it's easier, you can reach high notes with falsetto but always hard with full voice. Same goes with the female voice, it's just that it's hard to distinct from chest voice for the female voice.
