I used to doubt him, and i thought that he uses live autotune OR that the vocals are pre-recorded and fine tuned. By prerecorded, I mean they ask him to sing it live; pre-recorded doesn't mean taking the original audio and using that. ANYWAY, no, he's actually singing live. If it was live autotune, his voice would sound a lot more computer-ized, and it would be obvious at parts because the tech isn't that good yet. And it's not prerecorded because no one's that good at lip syncing. Charlie, as you know, has a talking voice that's not that high. If Charlie used his talking voice to sing, it wouldn't be as smooth. He uses this head voice. He doesn't put too much volume or too little. He doesn't exert that much force in his voice and he doesn't exert too little. It's just right if you ask me. I came to these conclusions because he has lots of interviews, and a lot of times he's asked about the music-making process. He'd respond sometimes by singing a little bit, and it sounds exactly like his performances. No autotune at all
