Such a humble nice guy. Charlie came to speak quickly at a youth club launch in MK after we had issues with gangs/ knife crime. Sorry but I just need to comment again. It literally is taking me the whole day to get through this interview, as it is a total foreign world to me, as a 57 year old woman living in South Africa! I had to pause and research the people Charlie is talking about. A whole new world opened up to me!! I shared it with all my Hebrew Messianic friends and family. If any body out there is depressed or suicidal this is the podcast to listen to. I have stage 4 cancer and is literally in 24/7 excruciating pain!! I have been through two very traumatic experiences over a time span of 10 years!! I am putting up the fight of my life not just with my health but also because of what happened to me. This I have downloaded and I will listen and watch it every time I feel sorry for myself. I know the protocol to follow to get healthy the natural way. I am struggling with smoking cigarettes which is the number one cause of cancer. Steven I do not know how to thank you for this broadcast? It is worth more than any money in the world. Thank you. Charlie Sloth is a young man who has achieved so much for the rap and hip hop scene in the UK. He is so creative and has so much vision, which has been key to his success. He also has a real presence and it's so nice to hear that he is heavily involved in helping the less fortunate kids of today. When Fire in the Booth became very popular from 2010 and onwards, that is when so many people started to seriously take notice Charlie, such was the success of that show. Steve, your youtube channel is also always of interest to me, you always have so many interesting and inspirational characters on your channel.

However he's promoting a brand of very expensive alcohol, and I'd argue that this does more harm than good in the short and long term. He said himself he's promoting it to black folks specifically and I can't imagine that this is the healthiest or most constructive use of his time and money.

But seeing these artists laying out their best work in the hopes of getting somewhere, was amazing. Real inspirational story in general from Sloth. Excellent conversation.

In this episode, Charlie states that he always had self belief. 20 minutes in he mentions the birth of his son. By the look in his eyes and the change in his posture and the energy in his voice it is clear that Charlie's greatest motivation was being responsible for a child. I wonder if in another interview we can hear more about how being a good parent and provider to his child is in some way, a way to heal from his own childhood traumas so to break a cycle of ignorance or lack of opportunity. The anecdote about his father seems rather pertinent too. Something to note, our personal childhoods and relationships with parents bare magnificent influence on us subconsciously. Thanks for this interview. An opportunity for us all to grow in exchange for two hours of our time and energy. A good trade. 🙏🏽

Always appreciate someone coming from not a lot and cleaning up. My dad was from nothing and did relatively well. Nothing like Charlie.

Was following Charley from way back, back in Being Charlie Sloth days...He helped me with confidence as an artist and him and Wretch pushed me on 1xtra back in 2010 as Top 5 to look out for. The work rate was better than anyone in the UK Urban scene. Point blank period. Incredible movements. Thanks Sloth.

This was a great conversation. Self belief, dealt, social imagination, grit and finding your bridge. Definitely sharing this with my son.

Charlie Booth I’m eating dinner and my tears are that of recognition and gratefulness for you as you are as you a human being 🙏 Remember gangsters there’s no good end to your game. You are only good potential even though you may not think that now. Imagine you are better in the future than right now just like this man now. Remember we all love you and want you to be the best person so cmon be that person right now ❤❤❤❤

Crazy the evolution of charlie sloth since the '' tower block dreams'' programme I'd recommend it actually quite funny too the episode with sloth and skinnyman, but crazy to see where a kid from the ends with dreams has ended up massively respect that sloth, and also great interview Steven
