Worth mentioning that while looking for what a Bible normally costs these days, the first 2 sites i went to charged me 0$. One offered the first 3 bibles for free, only charging 1$ for shipping. The other allows for up to 100 free bibles, and not even charging for shipping. You can get more for free, but you have to get in touch with a good reason why you need more then 100 free bibles. I did find Bibles you have to pay for, ranging from 6$ for a very basic one, to around 30$ for a high quality study Bible.* Meanwhile trump is asking 60$ for what looks to be a pretty basic Bible * A high quality study bible being leatherbound, and full of scholarly notes and explainers on, for example, on what the customs and traditions were at the time. As well as more then 500 maps. I have even seen other study bibles (around 30$) that include QR codes that link to explainer videos. Like, the "trump bible" gets you a lot less Bible for double the cost. So even if you were in the market for a new Bible, this is still a rip off. And finally a note as a Christian: the word of God should be a gift, not a business. This is why you can get Bibles for free, people donating money so that anyone who wants that gift may receive it, free of charge.

True story. I was up at a rural county fair in California back in 2015, and my husband and I were at a stand selling hats as a primary purpose. There were Trump flags flying from the stand and free bibles in the front. Someone came up behind us and said “Bibles and Trump. My favorite stand.” There’s an unfortunately deep market there.
