Laws are optional fr. I've seen two, three cars blow passed red lights in Chicago in the West Side, one after another. I've seen even CPD squads even run them, no lights or sirens. I think i even ran one in one of my Chicago nighttime driving videos 🤣. Atleast i slow down for the stop signs.. For real cops don't care

Of course you wouldn’t raise your kids there because in all likelihood, your family was part of the white flight trend. Y’all upped and moved when black families were moving in 🤷🏻♂️

I grew up until 12years old on wolfram street and then me and my family moved to a dairy farm in west central wisconsin. Wolfram street was sliding down then which helped persuade my parents to move to the farm. Wolfram street has reevolved however since all that time and has become a destination neighborhood but you got to have some "💰" to live there🏡

Im filipino and my parents chose Chicago for the jobs and ive visited home in the phillipines. Returning to the us in Chicago west side kinda makes me proud im surviving in the hood but sad to see everything so ghetto and ppl struggling. Like how, back in my country in the barangay hood in the phillipines, this looks like people have it decent, a roof over their heads, a car, electricity to play loud music lol

The East side is a Mexican hood by the Indiana border. They are now calling anything east of Michigan Avenue in Downtown the New East Side. For example. Streeterville. Btw he also have Far North(very diverse) and Northwest, Southwest which are mostly Hispanic and Far Northwest mostly affluent and Polish

I'd been at West side by chance. I cudnt tell if it was dangerous cos the area looked normal but a bit of err hostile feelings. I got picked up by locals in 10 mins after they knew whereabout. and after all, we got lengthy lectured. They said we as tourists would have to avoid this part at all cost cos we'd end up get robbed. Last week prior an Uber driver was shot at the middle of the street as amid of gang war. Thanks god we made it out alive.

I live in Illinois and avoid the city as much as I can. The west side is truly the slums.
