It's simple, but not easy to make a detailed analysis of opponent range at every hand. To reach that level you need to pratice range analysis both on and off table from thousands/millions of hands. It takes a lot of work over years ❤️

I think most people don’t even know overbetting exists, I honestly don’t think I’ve seen anyone overbet for months and I play every day, I do however overbet mainly as a bluff when the oop player checks to you, you can just 120% all of your air because they won’t correctly protect their checking range and will overfold 2nd pairs. Also in multi-way pots it quite often checks around to the river because everyone is scared to bluff or value bet into 4 people, again we can 120% all of our non paired hands. In terms of the overbetting the turn on 664K I think oop range is like 90% Ax and only 10% Kx so I would rather value bet 20% and target the Ax again and hope he raises some of the Kx for me

6:50 but what about low pocket pairs like 22,33,55, you haven't included them in the opponents range but those are surely in

did you use any sort of hud like pt4 or hm2 when u did your bankroll challenge. if not how were u able to tell if your opponent is a reg, rec, tag or lag especially playing zoom?

Would you still advocate using an overbet in regards folding out more of a range at the micro’s? I mean in my experience if villain has a piece he’s going with, he isn’t folding more due to size. I certainly could be wrong about that, usually board texture is most relevant for running bluffs at those stakes imo. I was amazed when I started c betting flops ip for 18-23% pot because of how many opponents must be over folding. Anyway always appreciate the content brother. ✌️

You also forgot about K4 suited, which would be a standard defend in the BB at a 6 max.

I really think this is a bad thought process for cbetting the flop. When I see flop ip my first thought is what is the bet size and frequency for my range (with JT on 644 rainbow certainly 1/3 around 42-43% frequency I would guess). Then I think does my hand want to bret more or less frequently than my range as a whole (with little showdown value, two overcards to the 6, but unable to turn a straight or flush draw JT probably wants to bet a little more than average, maybe 55%). Then I either randomize or use exploitative factors (under/over defending, under check raising, over folding turn, etc) to determine whether to bet or check. Only once I bet and get called do I consider my opponents range/hand classes. You talked about maximizing ev vs different hand classes, such as Ax, but GTO maximizes ev vs the range as a whole far more effectively than one will be able to just through logic. You can't sit there and say if he has this hand class I want to bet, if he has that hand class I want to check, and average it out. It's just too complex and GTO does that anyways. I'm a heavily exploitative player and I enjoy your content because of it, but I think c-betting flop has to be primarily grounded in theory. In SRPs range analysis mainly matters on turn and river.
@samwooder463
@samwooder463 2 жыл бұрын
Also an underrated part of having flop betting frequencies drilled and memorized is that you can play so much faster. It's so much easier to double the number of hands you play per hour than to double your edge. I couldn't play 6-8 tables of fast forward/zoom thinking about cbetting this way.

Everyone knows the 3x pot turn bet can't be balanced, they call because they have king and don't want to be pushed around by young bucks who use an obvious non GTO sizing. When there is a draw available and I know villain has a pair, if you go all in you can often get him to call because he thinks you just want to gamble and see both cards without making a turn decision and also when he has a set he's terrified of you folding so he would tank bet small and then pot the turn and river, but here you are just jamming in his face and risking all that value. So he will pay off sometimes as light as ace high.

dont worry about GTO bullshit unless you play hundreds of thousands of hands heads up against Linus love or OtbRedbaron lmao, most of the regs dont have the time to analize your strategy perfectly like a GTO bot would lol.. As Charlie said they'll just think top of the range gotta call, i'll probably go a bit smaller since they'll be too scared to call a river jam but still pretty much the same strategy, explote the fuck out of recreationals and gto players..
@totalhysteria
@totalhysteria 2 жыл бұрын
@@mrcv1999 I like it. You can probably get away with it, because players can't scout your game in detail anyway to know you only have value. As you said. I think it's good to have a decent grasp of GTO and use a somewhat "balanced strategy" against opponents you play regularly. But a common mistake I think players do is to have this "GTO mindset" in literally every situation. Like it's some golden rule to always play theoretically sound to not run the risk of getting exploited.

That's bullishit. If you go extreme Big size on the turn just with nutted hands almost every avarage or good reg will be able in a few k hands to exploite you and fold almost everything against this face up size even if they are at the top of their range. If they Doesn't they're not PPP
