As a black woman who grew up in Appalachia Edson, TN in the 80s. I approve of this message. He speaks the complete truth to this day. Never met a neighbor or small town member not willing to help another out and have a heart of gold. But also dont ever forget the America we grew up on and what it stands for. Do the crume paybthe price, threaten another mans home or family, pay the price. Thats what America is about. Charlie Daniels ranks right up there with Willie Nelson, Kris kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash, as one of the greatest country artists ever. Edit: His best quote, I thought: "The news is not about the news anymore. It's about protecting some people, destroying others and shoving the Socialist agenda down the collective throat of America." RIP Charlie Danials, October 28, 1936 - July 6, 2020.

I'm an Englishman now living in the lovely countryside of Ireland after living all my life in London. In my fifty years on this earth I watched that place go from bad to worse: The crime, the over crowding, the indifference, the intolerance and just the downright nastiness of humanity. Sitting here today, gazing across the valley, I can see for miles as I play this video and it feels as relevant to the life I left behind in London as it does as to what's happening in America this year. Some people need to learn some respect, both self respect and mutual respect. They need to take some personal responsibilities, grow the hell up and get a job to buy what they want, not expect it handed to them on a plate or go out rioting and looting to get it. I was sorry to hear of CD's passing earlier this year, the world sure could use a few like him about now.

Salute to you from the Southern US. We're all on rough seas at the moment and worse is to come. We will triumph but we're gonna have to fight for it. It's time for men to stand tall. We might as well smile while we get this done cause we ain't alone. There are millions of us that feel the same way and by God I couldn't ask for a better lot to have on my side.

@@gw5309 It took me most of my life to learn British geography, now I'm learning Irish counties and I've always dreamed of visiting the USA but it's comparatively a massive place, so today I've learned where Indiana is in relation to the little American geography I already knew! ;-) I'll be sitting on my deck later tonight, looking at the blackened outline of the hills around here, sipping a JD & coke whilst appreciating the utter silence here and counting my blessings like I do regularly! Have a lovely day and thank you for the kind words. I could never have dreamed in my lifetime something like the internet would ever exist and despite all it's pitfalls, random words of kindness still exist and are wonderful to share.
