I've always been curious about the Freys - especially since GoTacademy mentioned years back about the real persons - and that the story of Rob was probably inspired by Karl XII . What they did not mention was the details of Carl/Rb'd downfall - which was a city with a bridge - which is the city I live in. So suddenly it all felt so personal XD Making me a Frey ish XD

Hi Winnifred!! You are referring to the Swedish king known as Carolus Rex (which also has a song in his honour, by the metal band, Sabaton), right? I didn't realize that detail about his life!! That's so interesting! I knew about the Black Dinner (as an inspiration for the Red Wedding) but I didn't realize there was that Scandinavian association with the Freys. That's so cool, thanks for sharing!! Ps one of my closest friends is Norwegian! Hei fra Canada! (Jag kan prata lite svenska - I know it's not the same as Norwegian but felt like sharing, haha).

0:44 Small nitpick, but TWOIAF says that the Frey's rose to prominence about 600 years ago when a petty Lord started building the Twins, so even though they one of the younger major houses, I think it's very likely that they're over 600 years old. Just as minor nobility.

I always wanted to know more about Forrest and Sabrina Frey. Forrest seems to be the exact opposite of Walder. He was galant, loyal and a powerful knight.
