A moving tribute to the victims of AIDS and a reminder that Madonna has been supporting the LGBTQ+ community throughout her career and was one the first artists to take action at a time when the Reagan administration refused to even mention the pandemic, let alone act or allocate funds for research. Madonna donated all proceeds form her July 1987 MSG concert to AIDS research and the tour program included a stand alone comic book with life saving information about the disease. When Like A Prayer was released, she included an insert in each CD and LP with similar information.

For all the shade people have given her for aging and not acting her age or for her changes in appearances she is and will forever be a icon and legend in the music industry. She should just have all of our respect but she's used to criticism and has stood strong. May the queen of pop reign on!

Yep! I just saw the show in Boston. It was a reminder to all of us what Madonna has given us. She's acting her age and I hope she keeps on doing it. The sad part is that so many of the haters could stand to act more like her and they would be free of a lot of that hate.

She can do whatever she wants she deserves it. Just want her to be happy like we all should be i hate when people say she should enjoy her 60s. We'll this is her enjoying her 60s and giving us a show to reunite us when this world esp the USA is so divided

Lyrics: I have a tale to tell Sometimes it gets so hard to hide it well I was not ready for the fall Too blind to see the writing on the wall A man can tell a thousand lies I've learned my lesson well Hope I live to tell The secret I have learned, 'til then It will burn inside of me I know where beauty lives I've seen it once, I know the warm she gives The light that you could never see It shines inside, you can't take that from me A man can tell a thousand lies I've learned my lesson well Hope I live to tell The secret I have learned, 'til then It will burn inside of me ... If I ran away, I'd never have the strength To go very far How would they hear the beating of my heart Will it grow cold The secret that I hide, will I grow old How will they hear When will they learn How will they know A man can tell a thousand lies I've learned my lesson well Hope I live to tell The secret I have learned, 'til then It will burn inside of me The truth is never far behind You kept it hidden well If I live to tell The secret I knew then Will I ever have the chance again

Madonna’s song Live To Tell is in my top 5 favorite ballads & I am seeing this Tour on 1/9/24 in Boston MA & I’ve been lucky to have been to 11 out of her 12 Tours (I’m counting this tour in my 11 Tours the only tour I missed was her Virgin Tour other than that from her Who’s That Girl Tour to The Celebration tour & I have seen her perform Live To Tell 3 times soon to be 4 times & on her Confessions Tour her theme was about how many children are orphaned by AIDS in 3rd world countries & that performance was one of the most powerful things I’ve ever seen in a concert, literally had me with tears streaming down my face & watching this, she kept the theme of AIDS, but it was paying an homage to all the people. She knew and loved that passed away from AIDS. Even on her Who’s That Girl Tour she spoke about AIDS. Madonna has always been a pioneer trying to find a cure for such a wretched and horrible disease that I wish did not exist. I myself lost 3 very close and dear friends to Aids and it was something nobody should have to watch a loved one die from. The odd thing about the song meaning is that it wasn’t originally written about AIDS in 1987 Madonna said in an interview what the song is about. “It’s about deceit and mistrust & it is about childhood scars, bearing the burden of some enigmatic secret and coping with a painful past" So it’s interesting that she ended up, making the meaning about AIDS but if you listen to the lyrics, it could be about so many different things.
