Lady Killer was brilliant fun with thrills, spills and plot twists. I loved it. What did you think?

Top 5 episode.

This makes my Top 5. Love the exploding tennis ball. The double entendre of the title, and , of course, that wigged out ending.

"Lady Killer" is an early episode. The fashion of 1976 was more casual--sort of Halston and jeans. I think Nolan spent his big money later when it glammed up.

The recycle the wardrobe because they are supposed to be real people. They have clothing.

I am not sure this got posted. I hope it works now. I loved this episode. Once the Angels are involved the story has a fast pace. Yes, I do love the same scenes you’ve mentioned. Bree’s encounter with Tony Mann’s „girlfriend“. What a nasty little b**ch!! But Bree is being quick witted. At least at the first verbal attack. Then Jill at the felines club and the room key... Haha, awesome! And Kelly „singing“. Later Kelly saving Jill from the guy. Too funny! Btw the dress Jaclyn wore as a singer was the same one she wore for the legendary Time magazine photo shoot (with Kate and Farrah). I absolutely love all the great dialogue they all have, it’s a lot of fun but I also enjoyed the sincere talk Bree and Tony have. "Lonely rests the head that wears the crown, huh?“ and then again fun dialogue "You mean, I'm not the male chauvinist pig you thought I was?“ "Oh, you are that. But you're also loyal, and you care about people.“ It’s hilarious!! Sabrina and Tony have great chemistry. And he really is a likeable person. The climax is dramatic and surprising! Paula’s wig OMG! And Sabrina of course totally badass and fighting Paula effectively. Then Paula’s breakdown and as you said Bree handling the situation so mindfully and caring! I love Bree’s caring and nurturing qualities! We see her comforting people in a couple of other episodes, too. Most noteably in „Angel Baby“ with Kris. I can’t remember if any of the other Angel ever do that? Maybe. But back to the scene with Paula. What exactly was Kelly up to? Wasn’t she supposed to help Sabrina…? Both of them prevented Paula from jumping from the balcony but other than that? Kelly appeared kind of awkward? Oh and it seemed Paula was able to tear off her sleeve a bit too effortlessly...ha. The scene with Tony at the agency was a lot of fun. "Now wait just a minute--How tall is Charlie? What kind of music does he like? What kind of women does he like?" „Bosley!!!“ Great episode!

Hahaha, yeah Kelly wasn't much help with Paula - guess she was worn out after nearly getting killed by Dave Erhard the day before and thought Bree should take this one (Bri or Bree? Did we decide?)
@19CALI_sunnyv3 жыл бұрын
@@RetroQTV Yeah that's perfectly possible. Dave Erhard was a creep :-) Yes, I handed in my findings (an original CA script) under the heading "community". It's definitely Bree.

@@RetroQTV Thank you! Odd, I posted it there and can see it. But it's not the first time I post something and it doesn't show for others :-( "Thank you, Charlie :-) So I found this script "Little Angels of the Night" and they spell it "Bree"! I skimmed the text and it seems they have altered it quite a bit. Maybe this was a first draft or they altered it as they filmed it? Although it says final draft... Anyway, it's interesting to watch this episode and compare it with the text. That's what I want to do.

Sabrina looks especially beautiful in this episode--until the last scene. Beautiful blouses, nice jewelry, lovely skirts, no turtlenecks, no jeans. And then the sweatshirt at the end. Boo. All the Angels approaching the case from different angles--nicely done.

I know right? The wardrobes were so stylish all throughout the episode. And then a sweatshirt at the end? Especially since they're celebrating the end of the case with the client? But yeah I loved this episode and great that they all went undercover to find the clues. I'm going to do a Best of Season 1 wrap up when I finish all the episode reviews - and this one definitely is on the list.

I do agree except for...the yellow sweater :-) I looove Sabrina in that sweater and those slacks!! Shame we saw her only briefly in that cool, casual outfit. A couple weeks earlier she was forced to leave that favorite item back in Pine Parish Prison... Good thing she initially had bought two of those. But no worries, I'm sure she glammed it up when she had dinner with Tony Mann.

@@RetroQTV BTW, the client Tony is the guy I think Sabrina married after Season 3. They have ... a rapport.

Ha, I didn't think of that! How did that sweater find it's way back from Pine Parrish? I actually REALLY want a yellow hoodie like that - and I found one but it's sold out right now. Gonna keep looking!

Wow. That was a lot of fun to watch. "Charlie's Angels" is my all-time favorite tv show. I do love "Lady Killer". It's got a cool set-up with a creepy murder taking place right at the start. Highlights for me was Kelly running around on top of one of those big oil refineries and Jill being thrown around the room in the middle of the night, accompanied by one of my favorite CA musical motifs. (The 1st season definitely wins out here. I have no idea why the producers or whoever decided against not continuing to use the super catchy musical notes from the 1st season. No idea.) I also like the relationship between Sabrina and Tony, played by a very appealing Hugh O'Brian. Jill's appearance is lovely, and she gets a chance at a nice bit of humor when she gives the young lech the old lech's hotel room key. Ha ha. Not impressed with Kelly's singing, though her last second escape from Alan Fudge's mansion was surprisingly exciting. Jaclyn Smith was probably the show's worst actress (possible sacrilege I know, but I love her just the same), but she was also probably the most physically graceful of the six Angels, with Farrah a close second. Also found the Paula character to be likable and, ultimately, sympathetic. And like you stated, Sabrina was gentle and compassionate towards the unhinged Paula. Very nice, Sabrina. Sabrina is absolutely my favorite Angel. But a really fun episode, and I would give it a 9.5. This is my first time watching one of your reviews. Thank you! Now on to another one!

Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah that midnight home invasion at Jill's beach house was scary, suspenseful and showed us why you don't mess with an Angel. Sabrina and Tony are a great match. I love the interplay as Sabrina pokes fun at his dating habits and why maybe he should consider company his own age. Jill's double-cross with the hotel key is hilarious. My favourite is when she replies to the double entendre from the sleazy patron with "Ooh I bet you were up all night thinking of that one" Welcome to the channel! Glad you found me and enjoyed the review. Glad to have another super fan part of the RetroQTV community! I hope you'll stick around. (P.S. Jaclyn Smith is weak in the acting department but she got a LOT better as the seasons went on. Her performance in Angels Child when she works on a child abuse case and Avenging Angel when she's strung out on heroin are examples of her huge improvement.)
@geupelboi3 жыл бұрын
@@RetroQTV I agree hat "Avenging Angel", Smith displayed some intensity and showed she was a real fighter. Their climactic escape scene was pretty exciting. "An Angel's Child" (a medium, so -so 4th season episode for me), Smith gives a better than average performance. Ms. Smith radiates a gentle maternal warmth and I think when she is given an opportunity to be "sweet", she can be especially impressive. I liked her relationship with the abused boy. It was convincing. Yeah, I am obsessed with all things "Charlie's Angels" and so, yeah, I'll be around for sure. I'm looking forward to reading your next episode review!
