I know this is an unfinished novel and i know anyone can finish it how they like. This version is very heart sore however it makes good TV. I feel for both Sydney and Charlotte. Sydney says he didnt want to put himself in someones power but when he fell for Charlotte he fell hard. He ultimately chooses his family over his happiness. I admire him for that. Poor Charlotte who says she did not go to Sanditon to find a husband but then found a most excellent specimen. She totally understands and goes home to settle with someone else. Lets hope in Season 2 (if there will be) that Andrew Davies redeems himself and puts things right.

Absolutely! She fell hard too. She was in love before she even realized it. She knew he caused some strong emotions within her, but poor thing didn’t realize what was happening.
