The parallel between Yami X Charoltte and Asta X Noelle was beautifully done and so funny. If you replace the word "trust" with "love" throughout his entire statement then you'll see how well it fits. It's just that he's too dense to call it love😭 Yami=Asta Charlotte=Noelle, this scene and the episode as a whole were hilarious.Yami and Charlotte are simply the older versions of Asta and Noelle in like 5 years or so XD. I ship both end game ships heavily and can't wait for them to both sail.

all i'm gonna say is that in the battle against patry way back in ep 34 or sum in the beginning, yami said that he comes from the sun rise country ( Asian countries in the real world, probably japan cuz it's a japanese anime) from the sea and among the four kingdoms we have, any of them is as far as the clover kingdom as the land yami descbribed, plus he said he came from the sea and again any of those kingdoms seem to have a sea border with the clover kingdom which means yami is maybe the unique specimen in the four kingdoms right now

It was said that Yami came from The Land of the Rising Sun (or the Hino Country) witch is implied to be this worlds version of Japan. We don't know much about it other than that Yami was carried here by ocean currents. Considering the Clover Kingdom is implied to France, he is very far from home. Yami's darkness magic is stated to be very rare in the Clover Kingdom but perhaps hot in other parts of the world. The other theory some people have is that by "The Land of the Rising Sun" he literally is referring to ancient Japan and he was isekied into this world.

Just so you know: Black Clover anime is catching up to the manga. In a few episodes we will have a "filler arc" that is CANON (because the author purposedly left a "time" in the manga for that), and that you must should watch, because the content will be canon. written and supervised by the author himself and probably the author will adapt the content from the anime to some kind of special manga or light novel.
