The Mochi Mochi no Mi is a Special Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create, control, and transform into mochi. It was eaten by Charlotte Katakuri.
The user is given the ability to create, control, and turn any part of their body into mochi-specifically a thick, extremely viscous and stretchy, white-colored mochi paste-that they can manipulate as they please, including hardening it into different shapes. When coated with Busoshoku Haki, the mochi becomes an effective blunt-force weapon and is capable of trapping people, even extremely strong ones, due to its sticky, stretchy nature. The latter is such that high-caliber gunfire is completely unable to pierce through it.

this is exactly what i was saying. it's not the fruit that makes u powerful it's the user. luffy and katakuri have ridiculous powers and yet they turned it into something powerful. sure, katakuri can't make things rubber like gear 5 but he can still mimic all of luffy's moves and get stronger through more training

There's a misconception that this fruit doesn't grant intangibility like a logia, but it actually does. The ONLY reason why the Mochi Mochi fruit is not a logia is because all logias are natural elements (fire, smoke, ice, light, sand, wood, etc) and mochi is a man-made substance. That's why it's TECHNICALLY a Special Paramecia instead of a Logia. Also, the reason why Katakuri avoids some attacks is because they're Haki attacks. Just look at how he lets Bege hit him with bullets because Bege can't use Haki, but then he completely avoids Luffy's attacks.
