CHARLOTTE TRAIL RANKINGS #6 BROWN MILL

Just missing top 5 is Brown Mill Mountain Bike Trail. This trail is similar to Rocky river in terrain as well as closure status. It drains very well and rarely closes. When it does close, its not for long. This trail feels very hand cut although I don't know if it was or not. The natural rock features and flow are the coolest things about this place. Great use of limited elevation! Gotta check it our for yourself!

This trail has improved they’ve added a steep jump line that’s a lot of fun. I’ll be coming out here more since rrt closed but I’ve gotten over 100 laps here and it gets more fun as you take advantage of everything. They’ve also made a pretty cool skinny out of a downed tree more recently, it’s not to high easy to jump off but it’s 50-70 feet long or something

Is the jump line off from the main trail? Only section i can think of thats a jump line is off from the trailerpark/neighborhood

Always working on corning... That trail was really fun. It's almost always open too. In fact, I've only ever ridden there when it was raining because everything else was closed.

Brown mill is super fun. I agree, I think a few more jumps would easily propel this system into a much higher tier.

I find it odd you feel there “isn’t good signage”…. I personally think this place has better signage than most of the trails in the Charlotte area. RRT is a close second. But most trails here have even less signage. IDK…. Maybe lately some other trails have added signs.

Its really just the quick cutoffs that have tiny little arrows that are hard to see with the Kudzo. Theres not any way to get turned the wrong direction though except the canyon thing. That was confusing.

About like 15 percent of the trail is made by machine the rest is by hand
