My uncle always had a beautifully well groomed mullet. He never let the front get too bushy, so it just fell around his face like he was Farrah Fawcett, and he just had the longest, softest blonde hair. 🥰 He would get drunk at Christmas, 4th of July, etc and let us little girls braid it and stuff...he would go home looking "beautiful" with all kinds of barrettes and ribbons in his hair. 😄

Thanks to COVID I lost at least 60% of my hair. What’s left is pretty short and frazzled. I have huge anxiety over how bad it looks. Not sure why but suddenly I feel better so much about my hair. I appreciate you!

@Tiffany Santa Civic has been known to target the endocrine system, especially the thyroid. Your Doc will probably run a test and tell you "your levels are within range", but they probably are NOT. I had super-thick, luxurious dark (no gray, undyed), wavy hair long enough to sit on (64 y.o. att). My hair fell out by the handfuls and was about 1/6th the thickness. 😭 I tried *everything* & nothing worked, even slightly. My eventual solution? I found Raw Thyroid online and started taking cautious doses, daily. It has at least stopped the extreme hairfall. I probably could up the dosage and see if it will start growing back in thicker, but...I'm cautious. 😊

Decades ago, we had a friend like that. We all cringed when he took his hat off by the time he was in his early 20s. We kept "politely" suggesting that he just shaved his head. When he finally did, he looked really freaking good bald. I wish we could erase our memories of seeing him when his balding got bad and he was afraid of shaving his head.

Great minds think alike I guess... first thing I did was click the picture to see his pic and thought "Going bald at 19 sucks but atleast you have a nice head shape and look really good bald... because I've seen some odd shaped/bumpy heads!" It always breaks my heart... like really God you go and make someone go bald and can't even give them a nice head shape or a face that looks good without hair. I'm sorry but sometimes I just have to spill my guts on random YT comments/videos.... idk why... so "because corona!" Storytime! My ex-fiancée started going bald at 18 and when I met him, I think he was 25 by then, he was gradually getting worse year by year and tried to fight it... hard.... the whole keeping it "long" and the Rogaine and the vitamins/supplements and anything to stop/fix it. Even though I begged him to get a buzz cut for YEARS telling him he'd look 1000 times better but he knew best (until he did it and guess what? I was right!). I saw a picture of him a couple years ago, I dumped him in 2010 so it was a long time since I last saw him because neither of us are social media inclined people, and 1. His worse nightmare happened, aka big bald shiny head and 2. He looked MISERABLE... in his kids Christening photos! Like full on sad toddler pout and a suit that didn't fit... like his sleeves covered 2/3s of his hands!, on top of looking like all the life was drained from his being! I guess he learned the hard way that you can't just go out and replace one eastern European girl for another one because 1. Not all European girls are equal 2. We're not all built the same 3. Most are not as nice/loving/supportive as others for example his wife is the "get your ass to work and give me all your money and I'll give you an allowance... I don't CARE that you're sick! MONEY NOW!" 4. That 99% of all women, nowadays, aren't going to wake up extra early to make you breakfast and pack your lunch then go and throw 2 towels in the dry to warm them up while you're showering so they'll be nice and warm for you THEN go and do the same to your clothes and ironing them (a man's gotta be fresh and wrinkle free for work!) and bring them to you... Most women don't go to work 9 hours and come home to cook a full dinner for you to then go to night classes then come home and clean up the house and do laundry and everything else around the house that needs to be done PLUS do all the "fun" and lovey stuff that couples do.... oh and 5. She's not me.... even if she IS wearing the engagement ring bought for me Back to the original story... sometimes a girls gotta rant.... anyway... I first have to tell you that the first thing that my ex-asshole bastard gave me as a "gift" was diet pills, that went straight in the trash... wish I put him there too back then lol instead of wasting 4 years of my life with that abusive lying cheat of a bastard but youth, naiveté, and no confidence/self respect makes you do stupid ass shit so yeah the bastard bought me diet pills as a "gift" The last year I stopped letting him walk all over me and one day gave him a "present" just to say "I love you" which were these new pills I saw that were next to the Rogain at Walgreens to help stop/fix balding... that hit him hard in the feels and he was so sensitive about it and I would just call him up during his lunch break and say "Hey babe, did you like your lunch today?" (I got up and made him lunch EVERY damn morning even on my ONE day off and he kept cheating because "I thought I could find someone better than you"... yep that was his cheating excuse and what he'd say everytime when begging me to take him back "You're the best woman I've ever met/dated. I love you. Please! You're the one I want... blah the blah blahhhh" and then I'd saw "Babe, did you remember to take your pill? You know you have to take it 3 times a day... that's why I put it in the bag so that you'd remember to take it! Come on babe don't you want people to think we're the best looking couple? They're not gonna think that if you go bald hun... its not a good look on you." He was one of those "we're better than EVERYONE", "We're the best looking/smartest people here", "I hate *insert kind of people here*", "Eww they're so poor", etc etc etc Like he was legit with a woman who's parents emigrated to the USA with $27 and ZERO English and built a very good life for themselves and my brother and I ON the money they earned by being a waiter and coat check girl/bookkeeper/house cleaner/school lunch lady then cook but had the audacity to treat waiters like his personal servants... I would always give the tip because 90% he wouldn't have given them a nickel let alone 20%, as I always have because 1. They deserve it and 2. If you can't afford a tip then you can't afford to eat out. I was always taught not to judge BUT I think that for some things YOU SHOULD judge a person on... You should judge a person on how they treat their waiter/waitress. You should judge a person on how they treat their subordinates. You should judge a person that talk to rich/poor people differently... because all of those are indicators of that person's character and that is one of the most important things that makes a person be human being or an animal... or in my exs case an animals anus.... I dodged one hell of a bullet there! Thank god I woke the hell up before I married/have children with that psychopath! Have a nice day!

The “Name This Hairstyle: Leech” one is actually a traditional hairstyle from Cote D’Ivoire (?) and other regions in Africa (I’m so sorry, I’m blanking on the specifics). It’s a protective style that also lengthens the hair by “straightening” each section inside the very tight cord wrapped around it, which is then coiled and secured in an updo (like in the pic). Admittedly this one wasn’t entirely flattering 😅

When I worked in retail (large pet supply store), we had The Bobby Pin Lady. Every time she came in, she had her hair pulled into a tight ponytail in the center top of her head. She would have her neon scrunchy match her shirt. Then she split it into two sections and plastered them up her head with bobby pins and gel. It was like a full helmet of pins. She came in regularly, always with the whale spout, bobby pin helmet. I’ve been out of retail for 10 years but I saw her a bit before COVID. She had cornered some poor soul at Costco. He looked desperate to escape but I couldn’t rescue him, for fear she’d recognize me. And yes, she was a crazy cat lady.

I had the same fear. There are some out there of me with a rat tail. It's so horrifying. The thing is, I never thought it was cool. I asked my mom for a shoulder length haircut and she decided to do it herself. She left a piece long, supposedly, to see the difference. My hair ended up about an inch long, except the part she left for comparison. She thought it was cute and I couldn't bring myself to tell her that I hated it. I gained the nickname "Web Head" while trying to grow my hair back out because it's crazy curly and I didn't know how to deal with it back then. Thinking about it still hurts. 😂 😞

My aunt actually made me cut my cousin hair one summer. I was like 14 and he was like 6... I never did that before, so it wasn't pretty, luckily he had a hat to wear. Never tried that on men after just trim on long hair, i can cut straight. 😁

I’m sorry to hear that, I thought it was bad when my mom cut my bangs short or messed up, and I thought it was bad when she’d French braid my hair and use hairspray, or curl it, etc- I felt bad when I got older and realized she would spend so much time to try and braid my hair to look perfect and I’d take it out as soon as I got on the school bus 😅) *to be fair, she would pull us back by the hair when we’d try to move, and braid it right, it hurt, and occasionally burn us with the curling iron (which my sister swears she did on purpose) or occasionally hit us with the hairbrush.. My other sister had long thick hair about to her knees, so she didn’t have as much time left by the time she got to my hair

@@colourfulsouls I do feel bad for you. My mom did nothing but cut and brush. The brushing was always really aggressive, just pulling through any tangles with force. That did hurt like hell. Especially if I didn't sit still enough. She never did braids or anything, luckily. My older sister had a very different hair type than mine, so she was lucky with her haircut. She has very long, thick hair. Mine is thin and fizzy. But we both still remember the brushing, and that was like 30 years ago🤣 Hope your doing better now and style your hair however you want to!
