Very helpful video my man! I've been looking into trying out a chest rig to go along with my belt kit.

Thanks for watching bro !! It’s definitely a great piece of kit.

Both are great, but for me the FTT with the PALS on the front wins me over. I like the PALS on my packs, rigs and pouches. Even if I’m not always needing to use it, I like that it’s there if I want to. I like options. 👍

I agree ☝🏼. Thanks for watching brother. 😁

As I stated on your earlier videos, I too have both chest packs and like them both. I purchased the HPG Heavy Recon Kit Bag about 3 or 4 years ago and the Full Tang Tactical kit bag about 6 months ago (hat tip to Prepared Airman). I use the Full Tang Tactical harness for LE active shooter kit to supplement my duty belt. And continue to use the HPG Heavy Recon Kit Bag for hiking and hunting (it's original purpose). BTW, the Recon Kit Bag that I have does have laser cut MOLLE panel on the front. And I agree, their Recon harness is handy for attaching a CamelBak bladder.

I knew HPG had one with the laser cut molle but I couldn’t remember which one. Thanks for watching !! 👍👍

@@Skills2survive Good reviews on those kit bags by the way

Thank you. I’ll do a load out video soon, I have had some requests for one.

Do you find that the additional pouches on the Full Tang rig get in the way?
@Skills2survive5 ай бұрын
On the sides, no. However if I add another one on the front, I feel like it sticks out too far unless it’s a pouch that goes under, so I don’t add any additional pouches on the front.

@@Skills2survive roger, yes l meant the ones on the sides. They look really handy. It’s a shame l can’t get hold of those over here in the UK, l’d like to check it out.

@@PreparedPathfinder I love my HPG kit bag, but this one is so much more versatile and modular. I’ll be posting a review of the backpack soon that shows even more versatility.

The Recon version of HPG has molle all over it. You missed a big feature in that you can connect the HPG rig to the lifter straps of a pack. That is a huge plus. I will add that as a tactical chest rig, the FTT rig has some drawbacks when compared to purpose built tactical chest rigs. Those drawbacks I would consider to be extremely important ones. I also do not like that the FTT rig has the gun pouch and general purpose pouch all in one zippered pouch. It lessens the room that one would have with a separate GP zippered pouch. It also is just too awkward to draw a gun out of quickly with all of that stuff in the way and the divider does not really fix any of that. Both of these rigs could be better. There are features on the HPG rig I like better and features on the FTT rig I like better. There are also features that neither has that I would like to see, such as pull tabs so you can rip the firearm portion open quickly without having to mess with zippers.

You can do that with this as well. I will show that in an up coming video.

@@Skills2surviveI added some things to my comment. I talked some with FTT today about some of the feedback I gave on another video they produced about this rig. They said they are currently in the design process on a new rig that addresses some of these issues. They seem to be good people and I like that they listen to user feedback. Same goes for HPG.

Yes they are great people and I’ll be meeting him in person next week. He has ALOT of things in the works for the future and he loves feedback so they can make a better product.
