Brings back happy memories. Brid is where me & my brothers first started our charter boat fishing adventures back in the early 70s. We still go now but sadly not brid. Last trip out of brid was on palmer cockerels boat (striker) many moons ago. Does anyone know is palmer still with us or has he passed on??? Lovely fella.

Why arent you killing the fish? If you are going to keep them, kill them. As a fisherman its a no no to keep them suffering as it spoils the taste.

Hey thanks for commenting. Well some people do knock them on the head but I think a live fish wont spoil as quick as a dead one will in the sun. As for spoiling the taste, I have never personally experienced this so I couldnt say Im afraid. What I would say is that commercial trawler fisherman who catch fish by the thousands, ending up on the plate of people all over the world dont actually kill every individual fish in their nets. It would be impossible. So I suppose that almost every fish we buy may not taste as good as it could...I do take your point though and when Im beach fishing in the cold of winter I do use a priest and dispatch them fairly quickly. Thanks again and have a great day..
