I have that very guitar! I bought it back in like 87 or 88? Bought it from a little guitar shop out in California. Mine is still stock - through the years I always thought about changing out the parts. I have somewhat of a small guitar collection through the years, so plenty of different pickups and Floyds I thought about - just couldnt do that to the Vette'. HA! I know this will sound bizarre, but I LOVE the neck - I dont know what it is? Broken in and really smooth? But of all my guitars, I always find myself being surprised at how great this neck feels to me! Love how my old Charvette is going for the same price of some of the much better/higher end guitars on the used market!! Who would have ever guessed?!

Nice review, I'm cracking up because these were considered trash guitars when they came out. I had one, come to think of it it was either that or a GTX snake skin that was my first electric guitar back in 89. They aren't terrible guitars but certainly nothing special, you can throw decent pickups and electronics into any low budget guitar and make them sound ok. This wasn't a dis on your review by the way I always just find it interesting how certain low end guitars become highly sought after if a couple of popular You tubers show them on their channels, I noticed Scott Grove busted 3 of these out a couple of weeks ago and whenever he does that you can be sure the price on Ebay goes up on those guitars. Anyway, nice review and have fun with your new guitar.

I'm actually a collector of the old GTX guitars and the snakeskin is my 2nd fav behind the lightning bolt. Either way, the people that made these are some of the better luthiers to come out of Korea. And the tremolos ended up being somewhat sought after Takeuchi made in Japan locking tremolos. Fantastic brand!

4:29 pride and joy, yeah! Would you pay 300.00 euros for this model equipped with a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker and a Seymour Duncan JB junior minibucker?

Whoa. I’ve never seen you in any videos before, I was not expecting you to shred like that. What kind of setup are you playing through? Or can you point me towards some info? I’ve had all sorts of guitars and amps but I’ve never had anything sound like that.

Your trussrod needs a slight adjustment, you need a little relief sand that should take care of that fretting out problem.

My first guitar: charvette 200. Wanted a used Gibson explorer wich was twice the price but still a bang for the buck. Ended with that crap cos they guy at the musical shop said it was great for beginners. He was right, great crap it was. Hated the damn thing. 12 years after that I got my early 90's Jackson RR1 and sold the charvette along with another crappie Korean wasburn
