Finally someone with the same bad luck as me. I sent back a LOT of guitars in 2023 bro.... no lie- I lost count. Somewhere between 7 and 10 instruments. Already sent back two basses this year and we arent even two weeks in to 2024. I can and do all my own guitar work, build partscasters, fix stuff, but there's no way in hell im spending $1500 only to have it immediately need a fret level and recrowning to play to MANUFACTURER SPEC. It's honestly out of control and i have the experience as a buyer to back up a lot of what you have complained of in your vids. Misery loves company so seeing your stuff today definitely made me feel a bit better!

Man I’m sorry to hear, but glad this helped in some way. I have a few videos detailing my same experience last year. I finally got one guitar that was perfect out of the case and I didn’t know how to react.

Focking hell, what a new guitar nightmare. I hear and see a lot of these bad QC's more and more the last couple of years. I recently bought a couple of full thickness eclipses and those are amazing. My best suggestion guitar wise the last couple of years are the Ibanez prestige 5000 series guitars. I own 4 of them and they smoke quality/ price wise everything out of the water for a production guitar.
@jordansguitarchannel3809 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback, tips and comment. I’ve witnessed a ton of QC issues lately, sadly. I’ve never owned an Ibanez before, are those the ones made in Japan? Japanese Guitars seems to be always be top notch in my personal experience.
@johnnysguitarcorner5510 Жыл бұрын
@@jordansguitarchannel3809 yeah its terrible and its still a lot of money for import guitars. The Japan made Ibanez yes, still no mad prices even regarding these idiotic inflation days. I recommend the 5000 series prestiges. Those are more geared towards the metal player, SS frets/topnotch lo-pro edge bridge/Fishman fluence/bareknuckle pups.
@jordansguitarchannel3809 Жыл бұрын
Nice bro, bare knuckles too huh. I’m gonna do some research into those. Maybe I’ll get one for the channel and shout you out! Thanks man!

Mine has a couple of bumps in the back of the neck and the area around the first frets also feels a bit rough. Still a great guitar but Mex/USA Fenders are a couple of steps far away from the japanese ones in terms of quality.

Absolutely man. Japanese luthiers are just the best in my opinion, just picked up a new E-II with the refund money. Couldn’t be happier

I had a brand new Les Paul Standard a few years back the action was so high, like it was set up for slide guitar. Even the action at the nut was way to high. Anyways sold it and don't miss. Would like to get my hands on a single cut ESP like yours.

I try to get guitars before 2020, I feel like things were going downhill before that but especially after, companies started using cheaper methods thinking we don't know what's going on but they definitely feel a lot different to me and sound bad. Really sorry you're going through this man, especially for expensive guitars that should be setup from factory... anything under 1k I get it, but anything over 1k should be setup no questions. Probably why these companies aren't making the money they thought they would...a lot of us know what's up and aren't going to settle. Most new guitars I've played are firewood. One of the best guitars I've played is a Caparison Dellinger...it used to cost like 3500....now they're like 5k-6k for exact same guitar. Not sure who can afford that.
@jordansguitarchannel3809 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree man. All of my USA and Japanese guitars are amazing, but to get new ones is next to impossible. I’m keeping tight lipped on some things until I get these guitars back. Stay tuned brother.
@HardMetalString Жыл бұрын
I've noticed the same. It's like they are not only using cheaper components but the labour is also worse.

Sorry to hear this happened to you man! Hope it gets sorted out and you get a guitar that plays awesome. I've been lucky the last three purchases I've made with regards to import guitars, shockingly my Dave Mustaine Kramer in Alien Tech Green was perfect and looked/played better outta the box than his Gibson USA that i bought and since sold. That USA model had terrible finish issues, the volume knob was stupid stiff and the pickup selector was worthless, you barely touched it and it was just fling into the middle position. For a $2800 guitar i played $600 ones that had better fit n finish. My most recent addition is the Mark Holcomb PRS SE and that baby was set up to perfection and came strung up with 10-52s tuned to Drop C. I've personally never been wrong with the SE line of PRS. Everything right now is just a shot in the dark with QC.

I’m glad to hear that bro. It’s nice to know some companies are improving in the quality department. But yeah honestly it’s across the board with USA and higher end guitars. Send some good vibes man, I should see what happens this week with the two I had go down. Stay tuned, I’m about to get real honest about this.

No idea man on Fender, customer service is great with them though. Just seems there’s a lot of issues lately with like every brand, probably just mass production problems. I have a 60s Standard with no push anything that weighs 11 pounds, it’s an absolute beast.
