I heard Riverside County recently released 1000 people from custody and dropped all charges. Of which nearly half were felonies. The county said this was due to a lack of court resources. Making the trial of these "alleged" criminals impossible.

How many were there, 30-40 responders following him down the road? Does this not strike anyone else as an abuse of resources? One witness was in a car accident along the route and was being interviewed by an officer about her situation, when the crowd of vehicles chasing the suspect rolled by the location and the officer left the accident victim to join the chase. How many officers are enough to handle a situation like this? Or do they simply put out an open call to every city, county, state resource in the tri-state area to drop everything and join in?
