It is not accurate or fair to say that police officers do not respond to calls from civilians or prioritize calls involving police officers being hurt over other calls. Police departments have protocols in place for prioritizing and responding to calls for service, and these protocols generally take into account the urgency and severity of the situation, as well as the safety of the responding officers and the community. In general, police officers are responsible for responding to a wide variety of calls for service, including calls related to emergencies, crimes in progress, disturbances, and other situations that pose a threat to public safety. They may also respond to calls for assistance or to provide information or other non-emergency services. The specific protocols for responding to calls will vary from department to department, but the goal is always to provide timely and appropriate assistance to those in need.

When was the last time that many pursuit vehicles used for an accused murderer of a civilian? Don't tell me cops don't protect their own. What a pathetic, ludicrous use of public resources. I want answers as to this gross waste of public money.

Oops! You beat me to the post. I just posted something similar, asking if it reminded anyone of the chase scene from the Blues Brothers. How many were there, 30-40 responders following him down the road? Does this not strike anyone else as an abuse of resources? One witness was in a car accident along the route and was being interviewed by an officer about her situation, when the crowd of vehicles chasing the suspect rolled by the location and the officer left the accident victim to join the chase. How many officers are enough to handle a situation like this? Or do they simply put out an open call to every city, county, state resource in the tri-state area to drop everything and join in?
