I think MIDI is a must for this pedal. Just keep in mind - if you buy this and a MIDI pedal you now have two devices you need to configure and mess around with!

@@shoetiquemusic Yea, might be a bit rough, but I might as well get it over with, its either that or I end up returning the pedal and I really would rather keep it, I love it after my Volante.

@@masterofreality230 If you know you'll use it, it will be worth it! You'd also be able to hook up the Volante with it. I have a MorningStar MC8 which ended up being overkill. I would probably go with the MC6 if I did it all over again.

I ended up selling mine, if I were a synth player I would have probably loved it, but I think it comes down to this pedal does not have the ideal response to a guitar signal. Sold it, got a Deco and I love it.

Can't blame you MoR, it just doesn't feel right to play with. For guitar players this pedal is a good idea with poor execution. I've hung on to it in hopes I can find something that it works for down the line. I ended up getting a Tefi Golden Era in their last production run. I really like it. It gives me the olde tyme sound I had hoped to get out of the Gen Loss. I don't think Tefi is making them anymore, but I'm sure someone will trace the PCB so people can DIY one at a reasonable price... it's only a matter of time. For the record I don't think the Golden Era is worth the prices people are asking for them on Reverb right now.

@@shoetiquemusic I saw a pcb for the shallow water on pedal pcb, looks a bit complicated, but I might try it. Chase Bliss should have known better than to try to make the Gen Loss analog dry through, its impossible for the dsp to keep up with the analog side and sound good on an instrument like a guitar.
