Thank you for your detailed reaction! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However, as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (a classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (an ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (a classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (a musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible. Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their majestic original song Utopia is a must check. Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia! Enjoy their diversity with their original song White Night too. Forestella released their single KOOL in Kpop style to fulfill their promise of Kpop cover dance for exceeding 990K views of Save our lives m/v. They struggled to choose a Kpop to dance, became to think making their own Kpop song with dance! As crossover works for all genres, Forestella did a great job for their fans. Take a listening to Chosen One, an EPIC OST of the Sword of Aramun. Forestella released fantastic original Snow Globe m/v! Kang HyungHo composed it, and all the Forestella members contributed in arranging it. Another original Chagall's Dream brings back the moment of Forestella Festival in my heart, I feel like in my lucid dream seeing Forestella altogether in the future in advance.

I like your interesting review! This is the 2nd part of their trilogy. You can see act 4~6 here. The 1st part was their Save our lives and you can find act 1~3 there. The theme of the song was like Utopia for human beings might be dystopia for nature. And we need to find a way to co-exist because human beings are also a part of the nature. In the end of Save our lives- their original song as well, previous of Utopia, you can see the World Tree was growing up. That concept of world tree of life is from Nordic myth's Yggdrasill so their concept and story is also a crossover of the biblical metaphors and nordic mythical symbols.. and they took the 4 elements idea of Aristotle in the Save our lives like each of Forestella is representing an element like the Fire, the Water, the Air and the Earth. Interestingly, their vocal ranges fit the elements for each too. We can just guess and imagine stories, I think we can get everything clearer when the 3rd part is released. The composer is a Dutch named Valensia who lives in Valéncia in Spain. Forestella requested him to make an operatic part like Bohemian Rhapsody as Valensia was so strongly influenced by Queen, like to have made Queen tribute album himself. Actually his first demo version of Utopia was named Valéncia, like Barcelona by Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Caballé, a hymn for Valencia. But Forestella changed the lyrics to suit their World Tree and Utopia concept. It's interesting that still we can find some names of local spots in Valéncia, lol. They had more than 17K takes and used more than 400 tracks for this one song. It took more than 2 months of recording as far as they said. As always they sound better in live, so check out their live performance in Mnet too! This song is really addictive and became an earworm in my head like constantly.

Forestella is a Korean crossover group, consists of 2 classically trained singers (Bass & Tenor), 1 musical actor and 1 rock teprano (tenor/soprano) They're mostly covering songs & their renditon are all amazing. U need to check out their Bohemian Rhapsody cover, if this song reminds u of Queen. Its so awesome how they're bringing their own style into it, while still mantaining the originality of the song. And they do this in every single songs they've covered. Yes, sometimes they change the arrangement but its not too overly done. They always do it with respect. U can see in how they sing it & how they perform it. Cant wait for u guys to react to Forestella again!💚

I have heard Forestella perform this live during their US tour early this year. They are simply phenomenal! Forestella is a crossover group. So they do all different genres. From ballads to rock opera. So every performance is unique and executed with perfection. So expect the unexpected. At the other extreme is their most recent M/v Snow Globe.

FORESTELLA's genre is CROSSOVER. And you described it exactly right: one of their concerns is actually to show that classical vocals and techniques can definitely be combined with contemporary music. Und they do it in a brilliant way. You also recognized very well the very special Forestella -Sound they have developed in the meantime, with unique harmonies and the wave-like continuous flow of the melody. These guys are very passionate about all types of music. Their songs are so different and none of them are the same as the previous ones. Their voices are each outstanding in their own right; they are incredibly creative and keen to experiment. Not always mainstream, they just go their own way. And the result is always TOP.

They are a South Korean crossover quartet. When performing, the members normally stand (there are some exceptions) from left to right, Ko Woorim (bass), Kang Hyung Ho aka Pitta (tenor, countertenor), Cho Mingyo (tenor and group leader), and Bae Doohoon (baritone/ tenor). They have performed songs in multiple languages covering various genres. They also have a few original songs like White Night, Save Our Lives (which is the prelude to Utopia), KOOL and Snow Globe. (These songs are all in English.) If you want to listen to more of their crossover music, most of these songs are not in English; you can listen to Dell Amore Non Si Sa, Parla Piu Piano, In Ultra Vita, Nella Fantasia, and Champions (which is a mash-up between the UEFA Champions LeagueLeague and the song Champions sung by Sumi Jo.) Champions is my favourite song by them because the 4 of them sound like a choir. It is an epic song. If you want to listen to more of their songs sung in Korean, you can listen to songs like Dead Drunk, Nocturne, Words From The Wind, As I Live, and The Face I Miss (also known as Cherished Face.) Spread Silk On My Heart, Lazenca Save Us, and MAMA (The original artist of this song is the group EXO.) They have done excellent renditions of songs like Scarborough Fair, Sweet Dreams, Bad Romance, Legends Never Die, Smooth Criminal, Despacito, We Are The Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Tine In A Bottle. This was an Amazing Reaction! Forestella is unlike any other group I have ever seen/heard, the diversity of vocal styles and genres, so much like Dimash. Please continue with Forestella and if you haven’t reacted to Dimash, I definitely recommend SOS, he is considered the world’s best vocalist ❤. Subscribing guys! I just checked, you haven’t listened to Dimash, oh my goodness, I actually am going to attach a link to Olympico, this was at one of his concerts and based on your appreciation of Forestella, you are going to love Dimash, he’s a very theatrical performer, and talented beyond description. Talking about Libera boys choir, would be coincidence or something you got some hint, Forestella had a remake of Angel of Libera boys choir and it was one of their titles of their 2nd album Mystique. And from the connection of the song, they contacted the composer of the song Takatsugu Muramatsu (also known as one of music directors of Studio Ghibri) to compose their original song. Takatsugu Muramatsu composed Save our lives for them. Please react to Save our lives m/v too!

We have the Smith Center For Performing Arts which is beautiful and has a great orchestra pit. Great reaction! Love reactors who can recognize brilliance in artists. Subscribed. You may want to start with Act 1 which is in “Save our lives” the first part of their World tree trilogy. That has Act 1-3. The second part Utopia has acts 4-6. A sequel to that is “ White Night” . Not sure if and when they will continue this series since one of the members Ko Woorim has to finish his mandatory 18 month military service. Meanwhile you can react to their many covers they have performed on shows like Immortal songs . Or check out how the group came together on the show Phantom singers. You can also check out their performances on “Phantom singer all stars” show where they came up with some exceptional covers. Of course they have put out several original m/v’s as well. Each performance is unique and covers many genres and languages. You can also explore each of their solo performances. They never disappoint! Best quartet in the world.

Since you mentioned "Jericho" by Iniko: you should definitely check out FORESTELLA's version of "Inner-Universe" (by Origa - from Gost in the Schell). The composer “Yoko Kanno” also finds this new interpretation very impressive. You too will be amazed. Also definitely recommended: their versions of: "Legends Never Die" (League of Legends OST), MAMA (by EXO) and "Lazenca Save us" (EPIC Rock). Every one of these songs is a banger. (Btw, Forestella delivered “Chosen One” the OST for The Sword of Aramun - Arthdale Chronicles 2 . “Jericho” reminds me of that too.)

Forestella has the ability to captivate with their vocals and arrangements and immerse you in whatever they are singing at the moment. I personally like their stage performances best. Loved your reaction! Did you research Forestella? You totally got them as they are composed of classical trained singers, a rocker and a musical actor. And yes Utopia is their original song and they worked with Valencia who also worked with Queen. To be honest when this first came out, it was too much for me and was not one of my favorite from them. Then I attended their concert earlier this year when they had their first North American tour and they performed this live. It was amazing! I didn’t think they could do all the voice modulations as in the video but they were even better live!
