@@mjxx blooper was closest- i got confused by the interface but loved the sound (dl4 looper for life ). Mood v1 was a blast but impractical out of my house but the v2 seems to make it way more practical. But missing that beautiful creme-cicle color. This is one of the more practical things they’ve released. I’ll def be buying - I buy everything they do. It just challenges my youthful ambition with reality that learning new shit is harder when you’ve got a day job, kids, yard work etc.

@@mjxx if chase bliss made a big ole blooper with 4 foot switches, a bit smaller than dl4 with identical workflow but instead of delays a smorgasbord of their best filters, lofi sounds,, weirdo-tron settings,, but identical ui to the dl4 more or less, they could command $800-1200 and no problem. Dudes like me see “same workflow as dl4- wacky best of chase bliss presets in the middle” id be on that at any price point. The dl-4 looper is the way loopers should work- gold standard. (Rc505 is great too but not for feet). Currently using a volante for this role. I’d love that slot to be a looper from their creative minds.

I'm just stunned by how Tom managed to keep track of all the capabilities. It must have been like trying to pack vacation suitcases for a family of 12. Most pedals have a single function and no matter how many bells and whistles are contained, they are still focused on optimizing or tweaking that specific function. But this has more destinations and personalities than Robin Williams on speed.

Not only is Onward fun in and of itself, but it seems like it can sub for a bunch of other pedals/effects as well: vibrato, tremolo, bitcrusher, envelope shaper, and more. NIcely done, gang! That Cooper is one smart dog. He's earned every one of those white hairs honestly. But after all that coding, no wonder he looks tired.

I would say if you tried to use it for standard effects like vibrato you would have a hard time aha I definitely could be wrong tho, aha

Combine this with Habit and you could turn a single note into an endless symphony of knob twisting madness. I love it! As an avid user of freeze pedals this is right up my alley. As a side note: I used to work at a studio with that same exact Apple. It would mock us as we tried to finish records - with its innocent smirk and hauntingly giddy bells. Gives me the creeps…

I will park it next to my MOOD Mk 1 to begin with, but have a feeling it will soon end up either at beginning (where Gamechanger PLUS pedal currently lives) or the end (after Neunaber Illumine rests). Seriously though, I could see a very condensed pedal board with Onward, a fuzz and maybe just a volume for my 'style' of playing...

Um, i'm going to need Chase Bliss to send me one tomorrow. i'll pay you Tuesday for a pedal today -promise. :DD Seriously though, I can't wait to use it with my current favorites (Vector/S-4 and Mother 32) synths. For some reason, I've got a good feeling it'll sit nicely, as end of chain, with a Mother 32 > S-4 > Onward set-up. Can anyone else 'hear' the S-4 with this pedal? You guys created another great sounding tool... thanks!

Very cool! Have you lent this out to anyone to demo? I've been wanting some sort of intelligent freeze effect for a while that could pad when I'm not playing, but stay out of the way when I am.
