Yes, I was so stoked that he recognized that Marco is doing the vocals and Floor is doing the growling in the first chorus. Maybe I listened to this song too many times by now, but I'm really baffled how someone hears clear Marco voice and says "wow she sounds great here" sometimes not even picking up the growls (and it's people who already listened songs with marco in them, his voice is really hard to miss)

PageMonster was barely able to get tickets for the December show; every time I’ve seen Nightwish it has been like that, including Wembley back in 2015 and on the End of an Era tour where I bought a back up ticket for a show in a different country (ended up managing to go to both :P). You need to follow the band and be ready to buy tickets on short notice; by the time the big sites pick up a show is happening it’s half sold out already!!! You’d almost think they’re mainstream.

Honestly, I look foreward to every moment you pause because I love to see the reaction on your face while listening and afterwards explaining where they came from. Not to mention that your explainations almost always contain some little details I've missed so far. Example right here: This little "Psycho" part. I must have heard this song like a hundred times but never actually captured that. After you pointed it out I paid some attention to the keys and I was like: How did I never notice this? I really love how you bring a whole new perspective to songs I thought I new quite well! Unique perspective, as far as I know, and well explained. I mean, I have absolutely no clue when it comes to any musical theory or playing an instrument. Still I do get your points. Keep it up because I will keep watching :D (And I'm pretty sure Im not alone ;) ) Greetings from Germany :) PS: This applies to the songs I didn't know (or at least not as well), too. Your face when she started growling honestly made me laugh, she is the quite the vocal beast. While I would be more than happy to support you on Patrion, I am a broke bitch, so all I can do is say great video once again, I'm here to support from the comment section! Though, I do believe that Romanticide was sort of in this more guitar heavy part of their repertoire, along with having a chorus that has more of a chanty - less lyrics than the verses structure. As for Poet and The Pendulum, maybe do at least one reaction to them with Tarja (Taria), their original vocalist first. As it is largely connected to her and the aftermath of her departure from the band. I'm sure you're gonna do the reading, but it may help with putting a face to the name that a lot of people will be mentioning in the comment section. Not to mention, that she is also a phenomenal vocalist in her own right. Phantom of the Opera and Nemo would be my recommendations in this case, though I do love the live version of Nemo with Floor. Mostly because of Jukka, the drummer, looking like he's having the time of his life up there :D

Ah, Jukka getting some much deserved love!!! Honestly, this old broad's inner 14 yr old girl has been wandering around the place, walking into walls, tripping over furniture...Staring in total awestruck infatuation at Wacken 13! I am on disability , partly because of how insomnia has obliterated my physical and metal health. So I have some idea of what it's like to TRY and function like a normal human being on next to no sleep. Um...yeah, it's impossible. So. HOW did Jukka manage to be such a BEAST with the sticks?!?!?!?!? And he just OOOOOOOZZZZES this wild pirate killer vibe...Yup, I'm a goner. I'm on disability and can't be a contributor either. And the rent's going up. What I can do is watch, let the commercials run, and like. I have been watching the live Poet and Pendulum, knowing how devastated Tuomas was at the time Tarja was doing her damage. This is a masterpiece in how suicidal depression can crush a soul, and how a soul can gather itself back up and go on. I have had to make that decision myself a few times. And it AIN'T easy. So I'm wondering how Chase will deal with this, if he'll know how important it is. I love his stunned delight over Floor's growls!!!

@@SandraNelson063, I hear thy words. Jukka is a trooper. However, I find Emppu, too, deserves more love amidst the obvious attention grabbers. To start with, for a metal guitarist, he is a remarkably ego-free zone. He is all about the song and the band instead of solo glory. What he does is keep it tight with his precise and disciplined rhythm work. As much as Nightwish are a symphonic band, they are also improbably - dare I say - funky in the sense that their songs tend to have a definite propulsive pulse. Emppu has *a lot* to do with that. Also, you've got to appreciate the way he wanders around taking care of his comrades and making sure they appreciate it is a privilege for a human being to do what they love in front of an adoring crowd. Every bands needs an Emppu.

Yes, that's what makes Floor Jansen so special and it's a shame that the world in general don't know her. There are other great singers, but they can sing in limited ways and styles, this woman can go from a sweet and tender voice to operatic hights and then go down all the way to deep growlings. Most singers can't do it. I think we are lucky to be witnessing her ascending career.

I think I can say with utmost confidence that you are the best reactor on yt right now. I've seen so many other at this point, and although I enjoy seeing someone liking new music that they hear, it also gets a bit old to listen to couple of "Ghost love score" reactions in a row and hear only "wow, this is amazing" at the end. I really love your way of explaining the music you are hearing and appreciating it more the more you understand what goes on. Keep up the good work sir, I'm looking forward to seeing next notification for your reaction! Xx

Thank you for reacting to Nightwish. I'm a long-time fan of Nightwish and I have seen most songs from the big four (Wacken 2013, Tampere 2015, Wembley 2015 and Buenos Aires 2018) several times, but every reaction you do brings out lots of new stuff that I hadn't noticed. You give my favourite band a completely new dimension. Thank you so much for this.

Just wanted to thank you. I've somehow started to enjoy basking in react videos of songs I know (being Nightwish one of my favourite bands ever) and coming across your channel by mere chance has been a bliss. Not only your knowledge and the fun reactions, but especially the way of conveying it all. Also you made me see some more layers to songs I already enjoyed deeply and kind of pinpoint some things I could perhaps "feel" but not "understand", and that is a true gift!

The song is incredible. From all the version from this song, this one is where Floor's growls are clearer. Ok, with that already stated, I want to highlight something else. Your disection on every single detail, especially about Thoumas while playing, it's remarkable. Congrats mate.

Keep up the great work. I think your thoughts on the music theory and structure of Nightwish is very insightful. I've been listening to them for 20 years and you are pointing out things I have never heard before. I have a recommendation for a future reaction. I'm curious on your thoughts about the song "Scaretale", from the album Imaginarium. This is one of Annette's best songs with Nightwish. However, I enjoy listening to the studio version more, because the best live version does not have the quality to hear all the depth of instruments in the song. I know you will probably get to this song one day, and I can't wait. Cheers!

Another fantastic reaction. You give so much feedback that it is such a joy to watch and listen you your understandings of the songs. When you reach The Greatest Show on Earth (live at either Tampere or Wembley) and The poet and the Pendulum (live at Wembley) I do advice doing the background on those songs. The Greatest Show On Earth is about the history of earth and human evolution. The lyrics are beautifully written if you can find them. It's like a science lesson, metal style! The Poet and the Pendulum, Toumas wrote it in deep depression after having to fire the first singer and childhood friend, opera singer Tarja, who they found high fame with her distinct singing style. He felt so depressed that within the song he commits lyrical 'suicide' so he didnt have to in reality. Let's all be thankful he battled through those dark days and came through, to give us all these masterpieces we all hear today! There is a HQ video with lyrics for The Poet and the Pendulum which I highly recommend using.

Ah, good to wake up on Sunday to a new Nightwish reaction! And yes, she can do it all! She participated in a show Beste Zangers in the Netherlands last year and did amazing there, "shocking" everyone with pure opera like Vilja Lied or doing The Phantom of the Opera. Also, their newest album had some very difficult vocal parts. Just wait till you hear the Shoemaker :)

Thank you for this one! This is one of my favorite Nightwish songs. I definitely recommend listening to this song on your own with other live versions and the studio version. The Wembley show does an incredible job allowing her growls to come through in an apparent way (which is why everyone requests it), but also leaves the backing vocals pretty far back in the mix. Excellent! I'm glad you heard this one!

I stumbled upon one of your reactions earlier today and you got me hooked instantly. I don't mind your pausing at all because it's very educational. I'm sure you've got most of these already, but take a look at Shudder before the beautiful (Tampere or Wembley), Devil and the deep dark ocean, Slaying the dreamer or My walden. In addition to these, I recommend you to listen to Wintersun. The drummer you saw in this Nightwish video is also in that band. He is Kai Hahto. The best first listen is the live rehearsal recording of Sons of winter and stars.
