Just by looking at the title I knew this was a video for me. Inspiring as always, very relevant subject at this point in my life (and career). Thank you! Cheers from Amsterdam

"Less consuming" can also refer to consumption of blog posts, how-to videos (including these videos!), tutorials, social marketing tip post, email funnel webinars.... At some point, you must DO. I make those things a scheduled item - just like bookkeeping or scheduling emails or social media posts & engagement, schedule a time per week, or Monday/Wednesday/Friday, or daily, or whatever - read 2 blog posts, or watch one video, or read a chapter of a business book, or spend a finite amount of time (10 minutes) catching up on email newsletters...etc. Then get on with your day and DO. CREATE.

Amazing words, Chase, as always. I left my job more than a year ago. Started to follow my dream, started to working on video game developing alone, started to learn digital painting, English, coding, and other stuff. Spent more than 1500 hours doing that, and it's definitely became a habit, a habit of keep pushing myself and to keep doing to move forward. And now here we are, at the point when the project I'm working on is about to be published and to move to the next stage of development. And I'm a person who was not just less doing, more consuming at the beginning of the journey. I was a person who was ONLY consuming. But guys like you, Chase, your wisdom and set of mind turned me into the person who is simply changing the life to the better every day. When I do digital painting and just keep listening to your youtube videos, my willpower reaches the ceiling.

The first q&a was just perfect timing for me, esp the second part of your answer (less consuming, more creating). I just read an article on the impact of social media on our lives and really on our existence as human beings (shared by elle luna on her IG stories the other day), and that article led me to turning off the internet on my phone for most of the day except for an hour AFTER i’ve read for an hour, AFTER i’ve written, and AFTER i’ve painted. Have only been doing it for two days and my head is so much clearer, just so much less foggy. This video was like a little high five. Thank you, Chase. 🙌🏼

Cracking advice as always Chase - I often think its easy for people to falsify procrastination as research, but as you say without the "do" you're just consuming. Cheers for all you do for the community! Tom

I appreciate the content - people truly need to be conscious of how much they are creating vs. consuming! I discuss this idea a bit in the last video on my channel as well - For me right now I'm focused on content creation way more than consuming content. I want to encourage others to get to the same stage!

thanks soooo much for answering my question :) i can't believe you put me on! i was so tired when sending you this!! i love the answer you gave... it's amazingly really insightful music and rapping is a very interesting area... but generally i start my day with creating music without any outer impact. after that i consume, copy, remix and practice... same with creating my videos :) with that i'm less familiar so i learn and consume, i soak and then i create my own!
