About the early release on pc; I think a playthrough on pc first at 6pm is a good idea, so that you can be free to make a sub optimal build and not worry about min maxing your ps5 chars. But however you want to do it, of course.

Much though I love the variety of STR and DEX weapons in ER, especially STR/INT hybrids, I really hope we get a few more mixup scaling weapons and unique AoW with the DLC, you know? Like, sure definitely would love to see a quality build specific tool or two, and I'm sure the end boss spear will be a monster of an ARC weapon, most likely STR or DEX primary scaling, but I feel like there's a lot of unique possibilities that haven't been explored yet. A DLC all about heretics and banished peoples would be the perfect place to throw in some oddball stuff, like how The Painted World in DS1 (and to a lesser extent in DS3) had some of the most unusual armor and weapons in the game. I'd love to see weird stat mixups from things people in the Shadow Realm used, like utility/buff spells with three-way INT/FAI/ARC requirements and scaling, or weapons that natively don't scale on physical stats at all. We already have a few staves and spells (blue bubbles my beloved), there's clearly a lot more out there to be tried. Or, hell, imagine a cursed ball-and-chain or similar shackle item as a weapon which scales on carry capacity because it also increases its own weight based on how strong the person it's placed on is (to allow it to be used to equally burden/slow anyone imprisoned with it). IDK, I'd just love to see From go all in on making full use of their stat scaling system and the freedom of a pure fantasy setting. Speaking of which, I hear St. Trina's Torch is pretty unusual and-- just kidding! Although they could definitely do something more with sleep, like a dream dagger which applies some sleep stat buildup and allows you to get criticals on sleeping enemies but does no damage if the enemy is awake. Pair it with the torch or a sleep crossbow. Or since Miquella was trying to save Godwyn for so long, maybe another deathblight spell or weapon? And introduce a deathblight resistance/purifying buff at the same time to offset it. TD;DR - I'm really hype and hopeful, and can't wait to see y'all in there-- even if it's mostly on the wrong side of an invasion 😅

heres a build idea that is best starting with the drip to maybe give those knowledgeable about ds3 and elden ring a hint... the legs, gloves, and body all are the exile set pieces but also could be the knight legs and gloves with than the eccentric body with than the non negotiable part being the eccentric hood......... yup, we're doing a gael build cause honestly, there is literally EVERY necessary piece to make this FUCKING PERFECT.... firstly, before the dlc there is the repeating crossbow with than the golden order seal in your left hand and than as for your sword, currently the marias executioner works plenty well tho there might be a even better sword in the dlc along with maybe even better body piece drip to get the full red cape AND plate armor look of his boss form. as for the spells and tools, you would use the regal omen bairn and if ya want, the wraith calling bell (i have it just incase cause with another fellow invader, it can work as a good pester tool for the cheap) with than discus of light, triple rings of light, and if you want, you can also use radagons ring of light with than last but not least, frozen lightning which you would use AFTER using the regal omen bairn to mimic the boss move that summons said lightning. all in all, honestly this is a really solid gael loadout and of course until the dlc, we wont know what better drip their might be but i also would be remiss to not mention one last option for getting at least the billowing red cape that perfectly matches the eccentric hood and gaels boss look minus the plate armor chest piece being the duelist cape you get from farming the gladiator in leyndell in front of the colleseum as well as the sages hood being a better colloration for the exile stuff and perhaps you could say matching his prior boss look better.
