Something to be careful about it making sure you aren't looking too far down when you ash of war, because it will 100% be underground in pretty much a 45 degree cone in front of you. I feel there were a couple that might have landed had it been aimed up more.

It would have been cool to see this weapon as it is now go against the fingerprint shield when it was the meta. The only reason I never saw someone use this weapon to counter it was because it ash of war was slow and easily dodgable.

Jumping doesn't add fall damage. It's determined by your y coordinate when your feet leave the ground and the y coordinate of when they hit the ground determining the length of the fall. So whether you walk off or jump off your feet leave the ground at the same y coordinate.

My primary PvP build is powerstanced Coded at 138 with 80 faith, and it absolutely chews through Hosts like nobody’s business. Having 80 faith also gives you access to really strong incantations that boost your attack power and defenses, I love Black Flame’s Protection. The primary difference between Chase and me is that I use the Sacred Scorpion Talisman, which stacks with Holy-Shrouded Tear in Physick. Yes, it reduces defenses, but when you slap on BFP, that hardly matters, especially when you dump enough endurance to wear heavier armor. Also, in the right off-hand, I use the Cipher Pata. It has the same armor ignoring properties of the Codes Sword, and even better, it’s ash-of-war (also called Unblockable Blade) is completely different, instead a thrust forward, which can throw people off if they don’t expect a thrusting attack.

Claw Talisman doesnt work with coded sword so you should use something else. I think its because sword does holy damage only or weapon is bugged.

There is only one coded sword per playthrough, so you have to go into ng+ or have a friend drop them for you.

I'd love to see some Elden Ring pvp without the use of AoW and jumping attacks. Some more guard counters, combos from spells/incantations into melee strikes and vice versa, and definitely more parries. There has been a serious deficit in parries amongst the Soulstuber community when it comes to Elden Ring pvp.

Elden Ring has a much more gimmicky feel to it compared to previous Fromsoftware titles, because the standard melee combat is lacking. All of the AoW and jumping attack spam cheapen the combat, but of course that's only one man's humble opinion.
