Having the twinaxes on off hand makes for the ultimate mix ups if you have the equip load, and some pretty nice fashion while two handing the longhaft axe

recently fought a claymore player with the lightning dash as ash of war and he played a lightning knight style in general. I loved the visuals and how great that dash was as a mix up. He could use it as a roll catch/ wake up to hit stun, doing the dash into heavy claymore stab attack for big dmg. The lightning dash AoW seems to cut off some frames from the next heavy attack you're using, thus together with the latest buffs to heavy attack speed and range makes that AoW a pretty interesting choice for PvP. Guess it's finally time for me to do a lightning dex build.

16:10 Instead of the Longhaft Axe, I really like the Twinaxes as a chase-down weapon, they immediately became my favorite chaser for PvP. They're much better for it compared to Longhaft, in my opinion; they initiate sooner, go much farther and much faster, and the hitbox lingers longer. Only downside is the damage is worse, but usually chasers are used on someone with only a chip or two left, so it's rarely ever an issue for me.

A strange quirk with *Blinkbolt: Long-hafted Axe* is that while the weapon's strike scales with AR, *the follow-up lighting bolt actually scales with Dexterity; not Faith* This weapon would honestly be one of the absolute best in the game (Even though it's already great) if the lighting bolt scaled with Faith instead

I love this weapon. I went through the dlc with this + the twinaxes offhand. Twin axe ash with multihit talismans and then swapping to this net an easy 4-5k damage per ash.

Blinkbolt is so fun. You only get the teleport part of the ash if you put it on regular weapons, but certain movesets synergize so nicely, and it's an extremely useful ash for chipping health bars to 0. My favorite setup to use it on is Milady with offhand handaxe. Handaxe follows the ash very quickly, as well as Milady's R2.

Chase, I've watched you for a long time. Recently started rewatching you a lot after a long hiatus. I don't even play those games, but I really enjoy your content. There are some things, nevertheless, that I miss from your ds3 and older videos. You now edit your videos more. I always know you are going to win, so there isn't as much tension. You also deal a fuck-ton of damage, which is really cool, but it also promotes the decreased sensation of "tension" during fights (I don't know if you are so op bc its an rpg and you play against people with lower level, character or equipment-wise, or if it is just bc they have a terrible build iq and their equipments-weapons dont synergize as well as your own; since I dont play the game, idk!). Finally, I just read a comment saying that your videos are like asmr and they help them fall asleep. Recently I rewatched one of the ds3 and I found it so relaxing that I it helped me fall asleep, I loved it. I think its due to the fact that the music and effects in ds3 sounded more relaxing, but you also now add more commentary to your gameplay (which I really enjoy, hence why I watch you so much). Still, don’t worry if some day you are not feeling it and dont want to talk too much or sound super animated, it will still be enjoyable and pleasant to watch 😂❤️ Have a nice week!

there's an additional "hidden" property for this weapon: you can chain multiple blinkbolts (just the dash) significantly faster on this axe than you can on any other blinkbolt variant. zooming around people is hilarious.

The Crescent Axe is one of my favorite movesets in the game, been a while since I've played but I'd recommend the Carian Thrusting Shield: you can buff it when it has physical infusions so you can get 850-900 AR pretty easily on a variety of stat spreads though Heavy is often the most point efficient for only this weapon but Keen also ends up in a similar spot plus having cast speed if you want more of a hybrid. Vagabond can do 60/10/25/18/40/60/9/7 at 150 or you can do something like 60/23/42/18/40/80/9/7 at 200, Carian Regal and Lusat's are only ~30 AR apart in terms of buff AR(at 80) and at 60 Academy is better than both so it really depends on how much casting you want to do
