I really enjoy these videos because it shows the entire process. Communication, thinking, playing it safe, decision making, and being aware of your surroundings and how to get away from the "conga line". It shows the full picture and really helps teach people all aspects required in order to safely track a storm.

@savarok

Absolutely, so often, and particually on KZbin "chasers" are seen putting themselves right on nose of these tornadoes, all in the name of views. It really gives a real lack of respect to the devastation any storm can wreck at a moments notice.

I do love the fact that you verbalise your decision making process. Ive watched videos with fast jet pilots doing the exact same thing. It makes for very good viewing when you pair it with quality video content.

Thank you so much for what you do. I grew up in Pennsylvania and have seen some major storms. I've always been fascinated since I was a child and have always wanted to chase them. I have so much respect for you because you always make sure the information is out there and accurate. You also prioritize safety, search and rescue over everything else. I first came across you when researching the El Reno tornado and have been a huge fan since. Excited but nervous to see what mother nature has in store for 2024 and look forward to more videos from you.

This made me remember driving across the plains from VA back to CA and seeing a huge black cloud form out of nowhere ahead in the distance. I had never seen a super cell before and knew nothing about them. As we got closer we had to drive through it. It had pounding hail, in the middle of July. Which I simply could not understand. We were close to our hotel for the night when we hit it and the cloud was moving West, like we were. When I reached our hotel I parked under their covered front entrance. This thing was only minutes behind us and I ran in and warned others in the lobby. They could net see it from that direction. We ran in and out bringing in our two pets and all our luggage. Then just as we finished, it hit. It was even worse than it had been minutes before. Those who did not move cars under the covered entrance had bad car damage. The hail was huge! And hit like rocks on everything.

@cababyboomerq6012, My mother and I one night in Paragould, Arkansas. We were heading into the Walmart supercenter to go get groceries. I noticed the skies were like neon green and only two solid black clouds were hovering around and then I thought that was weird. It's like walking into a sci-fi film. Anyways. Long story short we were at the checkout counter and a checkout worker came and slammed both hands down at our checkout counter leaned over to the lady that was checking us out saying: "3 F5 tornadoes are coming this way!" So long story short we got in our vehicles and we got the hell out of Dodge real quick!

I really liked that. The front of the super cell reminded me of the bushfires in 2009 and the huge wall of smoke and thunderstorms and the wind, sucking the air. Pressure drop so sudden. It reminded me of coming into Melbourne airport and the rain and the reverse thrust of the engines. I have lived thru cyclone Justin in FN Queensland (Cairns) and I can only imagine its like that but concentrated. I watch storms only in my area of LV Gippsland in Vic. I go out of the way to stay safe. Keep up with your work on the storms in the US.

Hi Daniel, fellow Australian here enjoying watching your chase on a barmy Saturday night here in Brisbane. Goodluck with the chase in the 2024 season. As a great fan of your El Reno video from a decade ago, a question if I may? How do you find chasing tornadoes in the present compared to a decade ago? It just looks mentally draining to deal with the sheer amount of storm chasers these days. Does it take away some of the joy of the chase? Anyway….goodluck with the next chase.

I live in a calm little place on the north central Vic/NSW border where Most of the seasonal storms scrape by either side of us, but we get some seriously awesome views of them rolling past. Many an afternoon sitting in deck chairs with a cold bevy watching the show nature puts on for us mere humans
