If you find yourself in Northwestern Mass. (East side slopes of Berkshire Mountains), look into the areas where the towns of Charlemont, Florida, and Savoy intersect.

I’m from Vermont and I love watching you find great gold in New England! Is there anywhere you would recommend for a Vermont prospector?
@northeastexpanse6 ай бұрын
Hey Frost, thanks for that! A lot of people go to Buffalo Brook, Broad Brook and White River. I find myself drawn more to the awkward out of the way places though. Most of the videos on the channel are in places that are less traveled just to fulfill a personal curiosity of whether gold is there or not. If you look at geology maps you’ll find the serpentine belt and that will set you off on a fun journey and hopefully discover some new areas! Quartz, magnetite, hematite, garnet, pyrite, will let you know you are in areas worth scouting. Be well 👊🏻🤙🏻

I dredged in Nc for a lot of years , everyone says it’s on the Inside bend??? That’s sometimes true, but it depends on what kinds of materials that make up the bottoms , in some and I mean some cases ! I got 10 times more gold on outside bends , y’all have to take in consideration of the true layout of how each bend is laid out in comparison to flow from upstream, all I’m trying to help y’all see is Check out those outside bends, and another thing is . How wide is the river or creek ? The narrower the creek, the better chance most gold will be outside bend
@northeastexpanse Жыл бұрын
I agree. Inside bends are a good place to look yet always read the river as if it was in flood. When I’m snorkeling in these rivers one thing I’m always looking at is where the heavier rock types are settled.

What are those blue bowl things called?
@northeastexpanse2 ай бұрын
The one for separating material is called simply a blue bowl. Any prospecting supplies website should have them.
