Awesome video Jamie! Looked like you and everyone had a great day. With the reputation you have right now I actually see Andy inviting you to ride in either Car 30 or even Car 1. Glad Andy got to break in his new Anthracite Voyager and had it on the rear instead of Car 1. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen Car 1 anywhere else besides the rear.

Thanks so much, John! The Lehigh Division is harder to chase on than the Reading Division, but it went well for me. I've ridden those tracks dozens of times now, but many of the roads are new to me when chasing. Hope you get to try it some time though.

I understand why the diesels are there, but couldn't 2102 manage just fine by getting a good meaty brake set on the train while also bailing off the independent?

We needed the diesels. The trains tonnage, poor rail conditions that day, and steep gradients on the north side of Penobscot warranted the SD50s.

Having the dynamic brakes on that grade with a 19-car consist was definitely the right move.

Yes it is. R&N purchased it from a private owner last winter. It was former Norfolk-Western business car #2 Lambert's Point. Andy is now using it as a private car on the OCS.
