Chasing River Giants - Pike Fishing Quest on the River Trent

In this video we head to the River Trent to try and catch some of the big pike that swim this vast large water, with temperatures hitting -4 and winter in full effect its time to try and catch some of these river monsters.

I was watching the video posted around 3 weeks ago about the river trent in flood. I've been keeping check on the river levels of Trent , my stretch is from Beeston weir to cranfleet lock going up river. There is a government website which is for flood alerts (River Watch) this gives the present water level and a 36 hour forcast for the river levels. This saves alot time and effort if your planning a fishing session. As an example the stretch I've mentioned is pretty unfishable above 1.50 mtrs above winter level (1.70 mtrs) There are measuring stations based at shardlow (up river) clifton bridge (down river) and im pretty sure there's one at colwick at Nottingham. Hope this helps for those lads that don't know about this website.
