While I love the enthusiasm that she has about our awesome country, most of the tech companies are moving inland to places like Texas where the cost of living is immensely cheaper. Love the weather in California, don't appreciate the traffic nor cost of living. You have to make over 6 figures minimum to begin to afford your own place independently at a conservative cost too.

I've this dream of moving from Malaysia to Los Angeles. This is a 0.07% chance thing but I want to move there to be a KZbin celebrity, making awesome friends, live this L.A. energy from my dream.. I know many people says that people there are all about the fame clout chaser... All I know that it's a dream and it became a goal of mine. So far I've started a KZbin channel 700 subs, 197 followers on IG, 22 followers on TikTok. 20 followers on Twitter... No real audience besides my friends... I'm lucky to have good friends in Malaysia, I think it's alot easier here but in terms of opportunities in the entertainment industry, is not my thing... I'd not like to be known for being famous here...

Downtown LA has gotten worse with the homeless population up to 66,000. There's a gofundme called SaveLA proposing to build on top of the city because regulations are preventing business owners from protecting their business and their customers. Hopefully since the politicians won't do anything about it the people will.

I loved this video! How do you guys find this comfortable zone where you don't feel you are not part? My husband is Russian and I was born and raised in Brazil from a Japanese family. We immigrated here 7 years ago. It is our second time in US as a family. We graduated from college in Hawaii. We both lived here before we were married. I feel that my husband is still not completely immersed in American culture yet. He is still very attached to his Russian roots. I am a vlogger with a small channel. Just for the fun of it, not for money. I used to be a software engineer. My husband works as a software engineer and tester in San Francisco. Can you make a video about how you get immersed in American, instead of just living here?
@OlgaPogozheva5 жыл бұрын
It's very hard to re-shape one's mindset to a completely different one. ESPECIALLY not a Russian type of mind and thinking - Russia and the States are polar countries, SO different in every way. I so understand your husband. We're from Ukraine, but still it's the same post-Soviet thinking and different type of moral values and priorities. My husband would not even think of living in the States. JUST like Marina's, he's trying to find all type of faults (of which I myself am totally aware), and if he ever consents? That would be of pure love for me. And I'm not sure I want to force him. My ambitions in exchange of his happinness? Not so sure. Still working it out.

Marina, I love your channel... No, no... I LOOOOOVE your channel. I'm an immigrant, myself. And I love seeing fellow immigrants, like yourself, doing so well. However, what do mean by it brighter in America than (some) other countries? It is a genuine question. Because I'm thinking: I'm not crazy, after all.

How to prepare to move to LA. Take this as an advice please. I lived in LA all my life and times change. So, get ready. Studio unit rent 1500.00 in a ok area, 1 bed 1850 to 2100, two bedrooms 2300 to 5600 depending in the area. Gas 3.69 per galón car insurance 150.00 per month. Electric 100 per month. Food 600 per month. In order to qualify for an apt You MUST make 3 times of the amount of the rent. This means that if I want a one bed unit my minimum income is 5550.00. My hourly income must be 35.00 per hr. 🤔🤔🤔 You will need Two jobs or maybe a good education and a reality check. LA is not for everyone. I’m not trying to stop your dreams but, be prepare. LA is beautiful and our culture is beautiful too and yes, we have beautiful places and beautiful beaches and beautiful people , but no everything is beauty.

Dad Dad this is exactly what I hear from lot of people...It is always more easy to move any place in the world 🌎 with 💰 money, business....But in my opinion and after my experience working in Europe and Middle East I have the feeling that US will be always that place where your dreams can be true if you put all your heart on it❤️💪🏻....I wish all the best to the people watching this video, willing to move to LA...
@eppsislike5 жыл бұрын
@@tamaramartinez1773 It depends because the U.S. is on a rapid decline economically, not to mention socially. The problem with the U.S. is that they're spending money they don't have - hence why their national debt is at an all time high. This will inevitably result in a collapse. What's also worth mentioning the unbalance in genders, man act like women and women act like men - this will be the deciding factor in a nation's downfall because systematically, they try to upset the natural balance. See it like this, the country is a body whereas the people are the blood and organs - when that's corrupted the whole body will eventually cave in. When it comes to Eastern Europe and Russia, surprisingly these countries are slowly going uphill (especially Russia) because they stick to their fundamentals and believes, man and women understand who they are and honor that and they procreate a strong generation. It will be interesting how things will develop, when it comes to L.A., I also was mesmerized by the glitter and glamour that this video encapsulates quite well, but once you visit it and have an open mind, you'll soon realize that not everything is as what it seems. Keep the mind open when you visit and enjoy.

As someone with tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt, simply because I was born in a greedy country, I will never move to LA or SF until they change. Working class people and non-tech people are suffering more and more every year as we get left behind and cost of living goes up. This phenomenon is exaggerated in LA, SF, and NYC. I actually get sick to my stomach when I see a Lamborghini or luxury SUV. I wish people who owned those would support working class issues such as rent control or higher wages. However, they are more likely to oppose both. Then they complain that there are too many lazy homeless people and too much crime. This is how empires end.
