June 2020: The summer of lockdown. With so much change in the world, two friends and I set out to get back to basics and enjoy the simpler things in life, such as food, water, sun, fish, and sleep. We decided to head back to the Knife Lake area to explore some old places and some new ones as well. This trip turned into one of my favorites, and it worked perfectly to ease our minds. Though it was only a short time, the effects have been long-lasting.
Part 6 takes us on a day trip to Eddy Falls. I don't want to spoil the fun so that's all I can say. Another great day in the Boundary Waters even if it came with some unexpected surprises! Those surprises are what keep it interesting.
Let me know your thoughts, questions, and criticism in the comments! I really do appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks so much for watching!!

They were gnarly!! I was glad we only had a short distance to go. Having to cut into the waves at an angle can mean going out of your way a mile or two on bigger lakes like Lac La Croix or Basswood. I felt pretty safe the entire time though; the Wenonah Seneca was extremely buoyant and stayed stable with no concerns. Still, I wouldn't have chosen to go out in such conditions had we known how bad the waves were out on the main lake (we were a bit protected it in our area).

It not only looked good but tasted delicious as well! Coconut oil (which we used) is my preferred oil for frying fish, it's just a pain to get melted sometimes.

Lotta gaming references in this one, do you guys play Warzone?

Haha we have been gamers for many years so the "level up" references are generic, but "stay frosty" definitely came from COD. We like to say it when we have adverse conditions on the water. Another is "keep it tight"! Glad someone picked up on it :)

Calling your lures the 'meta' is when I started typing my comment, lol

Ah yes, the spring jerkbait meta... I had hoped to capitalize on it and I definitely did. I hope the devs don't nerf it anytime soon ;)
