7 Day Solo Canoe Trip BWCA.....Part 1

Seven days and 6 nights by myself in the Boundary Waters Wilderness Canoe area in Northern Minnesota. Whooooooo Buddy)))))
Rented a Northstar Magic kevlar canoe at Rockwood Lodge and stayed at bunkhouse at Tuscarora Lodge Saturday night. Both on on Gunflint Trail out of Grand Marais, Minnesota.

Glad you got out to do this trip Shug! Actually, I think a bit of rain adds character to any trip! The canoe looked awesome too. A great solo, different from hiking along on land, very different perspective! Loved the Moose in full velvet antlers! Early morn and water like glass. Quiet. The come around the bend and there was the bull moose just munching away. Relaxed. I was pretty close. Shaking with excitement at first. He'd to quit filming to take a few calming breaths. We hung out enjoying each other. As I paddled away he was still in the water eating.

My family tell me that I have Cherokee blood in me as well. I look even more fair than you but my sister is very tan and has serious cheek bones. South end of the lake if I remember correctly. Bough myself a NorthStar solo canoe this last year. Now just have to find the time to get back to N. MN.
