With so many SUV EV’s having the same bland single dimension interior and design (all following the Tesla approach) its so nice to see something that has some flavour that looks good

Also I just don't understand why (and this includes the Hyundai, Kia etc) Cupra are not offering faux leather, i.e. leatherette in their EV line. I do not understand it for the life of me. Why not have an OPTION? There is nothing about fake leather that doesn't fit the ethical mindset of an EV, and I think it might be a deal breaker for me and why I was initially so turned of the Ionic 5-N, and I'll have to spend more on my first EV and probably get something like the Genesis GV60 performance (which IS real leather which is also a problem for me, as I want leatherette for various reasons, especially because it is not made of innocent animals). But, between cloth and leather, I'll take the real leather so I can easily wipe it down. It's that simple. It is not an issue for comfort or aesthetics, it is an issue of easy clean and passengers that slip wind, heck, even I may do so in my own car then it lives in the fabric and the car stinks for a long time. I don't get this approach some EV manufacturers are taking with only offering faux suede style fabric interiors, no matter the cost of the car. I mean I wouldn't even consider it unless it was professionally treated by someone who knew what they were doing, not to absorb any liquid or stains. I wish they would just offer it as an option and let the customer decide, which would also be fantastic research for all EV manufacturers. If they are the same price, what percentage of customers are choosing leatherette and what percentage are choosing fabric? Personally I'd be going straight to the leatherette, that stuff LASTS, it really does - robust and SO easy to clean, much better than leather imo. I really like Cupra and my Ateca has been a delightful car and I like the brand, but cloth is likely a no go situation. Leatherette is vegan, it's fine, do it Cupra! Both for the Tavascan and Born! Options never hurt anybody :) Also, I mean, passengers make mess, no matter who they might be. It's just the way it is. Leatherette is the future.

Will never understand these ‘Australian’ conditions. Like everyone else lives in Antartica 😂 Spain has a very similar climate and has crap roads just like in Aus…
@megageek85092 ай бұрын
One search would have told you that Australia as far more extreme climate conditions and our roads have different cambers.
@fred35272 ай бұрын
What they should say is, trying the vehicle with suspensions/damping tuning that will be available in Australia. Australian cars are firmer than Asian or USA spec cars. I agree that Australian roads are no different from any other. We like to think we are special, but alas, we are not.
@johnlaw34932 ай бұрын
Having driven a reasonably extensive variety of Spanish and Australian roads, I'd suggest our surfaces have more challenging cambers, more large amplitude dips and crests and more punishing surfacing making tuning both primary and secondary ride more difficult.
@paulb19512 ай бұрын
@ -36c to 47c range in Spain, compared to -23 to 50c in Australia. A quick search would have found that, so tell me again how it’s more varied in Australia 😂. It’s pure marketing bs, so they give you more frequent servicing.

Just a bit of feedback on the video from a long-time watcher... quite repetitive messages (initial thoughts, living up to the Cupra brand etc). I feel like this video could have been 7 minutes, instead of 14.

Where was the review, this is just a 30 loop played 28 times with no info. Same old crappy steering wheel buttons, same spongy regen brake feel, the rest isn’t bad. Just a bug Born that didn’t get the VW updates it should have had.

Honestly I am going to spend a few thousand more and get the Kia GT that is actually fast if I am going to go EV and those dollars rather than an entry level Chinese car. It's just not powerful enough for my taste - if they release a true performance version (4s and under for 0-100), I'll have a second look.

@rigstig2 ай бұрын
if plastic rear door cards is a deal breaker for you then you will be the type of buyer for a chinese ev. If you go into a euro product be prepared to pay more for similar specs but you get suspension and steering thats properly dialled in. Driven a BYD atto 3 recently and although its good for its price I can absolutely see why its a cheap EV. The ride and handling nuance speak may mean nothing to you and thats ok, but to those people that love driving, the tuning is absolutely worth the extra money

Looks like its been in a crash.....awful design......just like all the others could be a Toyota or several other brands. Twice as expensive as a diesel half as useful.
