JUST ONE THING THO.... i think when any KZbinr talks about retinoid fam....they should preface by saying it's not safe for pregnancy... just because specifically in India it's easy to get these meds and/or creams from pharmacies. many people fail to do proper research and end up misusing these products.

hello, have you met a dermat and a doctor? the kind of discoloration thatyou are referring to is generally a sign of a metabolic disorder. please get blood tests done to check insulin resistance and hormonal profile.

Beautiful video! I started using retinoids at 27( currently 29). Tried tretinoin.. couldn't continue so bounced back to granactive. Saw visible results in crustiness of the skin, texture, periodontal hyperpigmentation. I am actually gonna throw in a request 🙂 could you please review dr. Reddy's REVIBRA C10 and revibra-a15? Their encapsulated form really interests me. The no worrying about oxidising is very attractive, it's a bit costly but some serums in dropper packaging are also almost there. I hate dropper packaging with passion for actives. Rather squeezy tubes are better and would give cost benefits to the consumer. But I digress 😂

Have started on tretinoin 0.025 as suggested by u beginning slow and now apply every other day. Since 2 1/2 months but still have quite a bit of flaking of skin. Is this ok and how long will this last?

Hi sonal, try reducing the frequency and qty. if you are using just a pea size then reduce frequency to 3 times a week. and stay there for a few months. flaking should stop in about 3 months i still get some dry patches sometimes though...my rule is to alter frequency / qty and keep flaking minimal. flaking is natural as part of retinization but we need to keep it minimal as it can lead to inflammation / pigmentation.

I use Tretinoin every alternate days and on the non Tretinoin days I use niacinamide and moisturizer.... Easy and simple routine....as I have extremely oily skin there is no peeling or sensitivity for me.

How many layers of skin does retinol serums change? And is the burning supposed to go off with time? I've been using minimalist retinol for about 20 times now with 2-3 days gap and still bunrs :|, thanks as always for your videos!

it should not burn for sure....may be that product is not for. you....or that you are using too much and too frequently. stop for 3 weeks and start with little qty twice a week and stay thre for a month..if burning ocntinues stop it. if not pump up the qty and let your skin adjust...then increase freq. so you are looking at a 3 to 4 month plan to getting your skin adjusted.

Hi mam , great video about addressing information about retinol , I was thinking to put my mother ( who's in her late 30's ) on retinol serum , this was a great help . Hmmmmm ........ There's an Indian brand called JOY , they recently launched their retinol serum , aside to retinol derivative it contains multiple ceramides and hyluronic acid ........ Can you please study it's ingredient list and give a mini review on it ( maybe in the next video , if possible ) . Totally forgot to mention the price of the serum - 299/- for 30 ml of product . Such a informative video. Really like how you always take the initiative to make us aware of all the facts about the ' in trend actives'. I was very dicy about retinols and tretinols as one of my friend had a very bad experience. She started using Retino-A without consulting a dermat. Within 2 months she develoved hypo pigmentation patches all over her face. Her dermat told her that its a common side effect of tretinoin creams on tanned indian skin. I have seen many youtubers blindly telling their subscribers to use actives without providing much info about side effects. You donot promote a product blindly rather educate us about it and share your experience. ❤

@@manvendrasingh1814 probably this is the reason why your skin was getting darker using tretinoin See 1 you need you wear sunscreen everyday even in indoors 2 tretinoin is a very powerful active,it makes skin even more sensitive to sunrays ( so sunscreen is Very very very imp)3 use a good moisturizer after putting tretinoin 4and last use tretinoin only at night

yes it def does. adaplene is gentler but it has BP so is better for acne prone skin.

I used minimalist 2 percent retinoid for around 2to 3 months now I have started using Neutrogena retinol night moisturizer and its doing well i use it every alternate day . lol...if you are past 35 you should consider moving to retin a 0.25% Nidhi. I dont use derma co AA but i believe that the AA from TO is the BEST :)
