@@caropapa I wouldn't go for glamping site because it requires alot of investment. There's a KZbinr channel called the outdoor boys that is a great example of how fun it is for kids to just be in nature and build your own shelter. I live in California and we have been devastated by wild fires (like it affected everyone I know which has never happened in 35 years) but some people say that part of the issue with the wildfires is that because the land and forest aren’t properly maintained and cleared, the risk for wildfires is so much greater. It has been inspiring to watch the progress that has been made over the last year. You now approach another lockdown and no wonder people have decided to pass the lockdown at La Lande. I can't think of a better place to while away a few weeks. A year just over since I found your channel. I love the community that has been created and the cameraderie between you.

Every time I see the light in the chapel now I cry. ❤️ Thank you for taking us through this past year. I'm so happy things are going so well for Lalande and for everyone in it.

It is going to be even more beautiful when it is restored. Stephanie mentioned on the live chat that she will be talking soon to the restorer.

So excited to see the final decision for the fireplace mantel in your remodeled boudoir Stephanie. Someone to care for the woodlands is such a wonderful idea and the sale of the wood will help to offset the cost of having him care for it. It will turn into a fairy wonderland with picnic areas, safe and well maintained walking paths and benefits for the wildlife, trees and woodland plants.🌲🌿🥀

I think it's a wonderful idea to recast the mantle if the original is not repairable. Such a great idea!! Such an important clue to the history of your wonderful chateau!

Nick deserves the title “The Tree Whisperer,” he really is knowledgeable about how a forest should be managed, wish we had someone like him in Northern California, we need people like him here. The chapel looks so radiant with the light peaking through the glass windows, the space glows that is a speechless and profound space. Glad it is not in threat of a tree knocking it down. As for Marie, you look like a princess being framed in that’s studio window with the vines having foliage. Just need some roses to create the ambiance.

Marie looks like a princess in her castle when we saw her through the window! Much better studio for her and that room didnt seem to find a use anyway!

Wonderful to see Selmar back at the chateau! So looking forward to see the development of Nattie's apartment as well. Such a treat that you and Philip were able to have your glorious getaway before the latest lockdown, hopefully the next four weeks will go by very quickly but at least all of the work being doing at the chateau must be so exciting to see!
