You made me laugh when you mentioned no nails, when I was getting my bridal show room ready for opening,I asked my husband to put a small mirror up near the tiara shelves and unbeknown to me he used no nails. When we went in the next morning the mirror had slid down the wall and twisted so that it was a diamond not a square and was stuck solid. The only thing we could do was put another one up at the right height but so that it looked like an intentional design feature we also put that at the same angle but then had to wedge a broom under it until it set so that it wouldn’t twist and slide lower and everyone commented how lovely the 2 mirrors looked at that angle and how did we come up with such a great idea lol😅- Curly Wurly

I should think it would be hard on the trees to be covered with ivy? The ivy roots are so invasive, surely they weaken the branches. Plus, the trees would be so much prettier in their own right without being covered up.

Strange the tile maker wouldn't give a colour or product code to a matching grout all you can do is your best as you usually do. I think the new owners will appreciate every bit of hard graft you have done both of you and friends. Maybe when they have finished the rest you and Ted can come back and update us with pictures if the new owners don't mind just so we can see the finished look of Montmagner if that's possible. I hope your next place has a little space outdoors for Hanz and Bessie to play as they do here :) sorry to hear about the tree and you have photos to remember it what if you cut it off and took a little bit and have Ted make something with it you can take to your new home.
