re: the dorothea vs tolerate it discussion: I was in a bookstore last year and this bookseller was helping me find a book to get me out of my reading slump. he explained that sometimes you don't want a whole meal, you just want a snack. you want a bag of chips. songs like dorothea are the "snacks" and songs like tolerate it or august in your case are "meals" you need enough room to actually enjoy them

I did the quiz too and it made me realize this: I will ALWAYS put songs that mean something personal to me at the top. I was surprised that “Cruel Summer” and “Getaway Car” weren’t in the top 30 but it makes sense cause I don’t really have the same personal connection I have with “this is me trying,” “Cornelia Street,” and “Clean” Songs I relate to and connect with will always be superior.

It’s really hard to rank them because so many of her songs are not better or worse they’re just great in different ways. Like champagne problems is a beautiful sad heartbreak song, but king of my heart is upbeat and happy and equally as amazing just in a different way. It would be fun to rank them after categorizing them by sad, upbeat, angry, happy and revenge songs. I can’t think of any other categories lol.

It's the deep cuts that always get me like Death By A Thousand Cuts and Seven and Bye Bye Baby/Mr.Perfectly Fine...Well and Cruel Summer and All Too Well TTMV and Forever Winter along with Babe, Girl At Home(TV), Nothing New and Red now...Also Forever&Always Taylors Piano version and Long Story Short and Closure and Tis The Damn Season along with Tolerate It and Dancing With Our Hands Tied and How You Get The Girl and have to give a shoutout to Out of The Woods and Clean ..and basically all songs on her last 7 albums 😉..I suck at this but love watching it! I'm a fan of "Eyes Open," went through a lot of trauma in HS and that song was really important to me. The yearning for lost innocence, I never felt safe in my own home so even when I was asleep I felt on gaurd, the fact that people expected me to fail in life, so many reasons I connected to the lyrics. I guess you kinda have to find a way to connect with some songs but if you can't relate you might not understand the sentiment.

This video has made my day entirely! I have attempted this ranking song generator before, and oh my goodness it is so difficult 😭. But I equally love how it helps you to sort, reminisce on, analyse, and think critically about all of Taylor’s superior songs. I totally agree with people that are new fans listening to the re-recordings. I was a semi fan back in the day, then kinda distanced away when 1989 came out, then reputation I didn’t understand until I watched the Netflix special, then it became my favorite album. And now I’m an ultra fan lol. When Fearless tv came out I couldn’t believe how many songs from fearless I actually loved besides just love story and ybwm. And then I listened to Red like crazy to prep for red tv. So yes I have an even bigger appreciation for the re-recordings and am so excited for whatever’s next. Maybe the re-recording of 1989 will make me love it more. Speak now I’m so pumped cause it’s almost a no skip album, debut I’m just excited to hear her voice lower with those epic songs. I only got into Taylor swift after folklore/evermore - I’m not a fan of pop music so to be honest she was on my list of artists I didn’t like prior to those eras, but I came to this channel after being a subscriber of Bonny and I have to say I’ve really come to like her music and appreciate her talent. Honestly watching these videos is so fun and makes me wish I had something I loved and knew this much about in terms of music, because I usually tend to dip in and out of different artists.

When Emily was raving about Haunted and said "you an I" I was SURE that was intended, but then she kept on speaking, lol... I was all like "...walk a fragile liiiiine!". (Around 13:56) Haunted is one if the best Taylor song imo 😍 EDITED: Omg, and then she did it again at 37:52 with Forever And Always, lol "once upon a time" 😂 I love you guys!! Btw I think two versions are such different moods. It's the same lyrics but almost two different songs. Taylor is a mad woman... I would choose Piano Version over the original any day.
