Native Chattanoogan here (moved to Franklin, TN two years ago). Spend a day exploring and getting to know the civil war sites around the area. So many people live in Chattanooga and fail to experience the beauty and significance of the city's civil war history. Chickamauga and Chattanooga Battlefield (the first US National Military Park), Lookout Mountain, the Medal of Honor Heritage Center and Museum, the National Cemetary, etc. are all beautiful and significant places! (BTW, the first medal of honor recipients in US History, Andrew's Raiders, are buried at the cemetary, as is the amazing Desmond T. Doss). I hope you love my hometown!

Fall Creek Falls and Cloudland Canyon are both utterly spectacular. A great day trip is to head to Ellijay, GA for a cup of coffee and loop back the long way on 64 so you can take in the Ocoee River. Drive through all the tunnels and W Road just for fun. Go to Pizzeria Cortile and Bread & Butter in Red Bank. Cobble a dinner with stuff from Niedlov’s, Main Street Meats and Bleu Fox Cheese Shop. I have not visited the new location-but sit at the bar at Easy Bistro, order a unique cocktail and enjoy oyster night. Spend an hour each perusing Brainerd Army Store and McKay’s Books and get a piece of cake at City Cafe afterward. Rock/Creek outfitters is (was?) locally owned and is awesome. Go to River Street Deli and let Bruce order for you. Get a chili dog at Miss Griffin’s. Buy whatever is in season at Crabtree Farms. Nice having y’all here.

Definetly have gotta check out first watch, mean mug, the ice cream show, pucketts, River Street Deli, Ruby Falls, and Rock City Christmas lights at night! Truly beautiful! Just some great suggestions!

When I was 13 my family took a Spring Break vacation from the Chicago burbs to Miami. On the return trip on the way down from Look Out Mountain our family station wagon lost it’s transmission!!! We spent the weekend at our motel while our parents bought a new car and when the banks opened on Monday morning, the $$$s were transferred and we drove home in our own “Chattanooga ChooChoo”! We called it that until the day my dad sold it to one of my brothers friend 14yrs later! A 1969 brown and copper (w/wood panels, actually vinyl) Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Station Wagon (Think That 70’s Show) 😂 Great time and Great memories that my brother and I laugh about to THIS DAY!

The Algorithm just popped this up, and as someone who moved from the DC area to Chatt last year, this was quite a ride. Sounds like y'all might be near Tremont Tavern, which has the best burger in town(and is a very short walk from where we live). One thing the locals told us last year is that winter is a little on the slow/chill side, but things really get rolling in the spring. Hoping with *waves hands in general 2020 direction* behind us soon, that'll be the case. Welcome and hope our pups cross paths.

You are close to white water rafting...handgliding, cave exploring, hiking, etc!! Born in 1955 in Chattanooga...things were much simpler then! Close to chickamauga battlefield...steeped in history!! Hope you love it as much as i do!! Stay safe!

This has been one of the best videos and coverage. I would like to see more info on 1. Walkability; 2 The humidity; 3. If there are bugs, skeeters, snakes, ticks; 4. Proximity to quality healthcare; 5. Safety/Crime rate; 6. The different neighborhoods. THANK YOU!

Oh the places you will go in Chattanooga... There are so many little things to do around here that you truly should never be bored and if you do get bored then Nashville, Knoxville and ATL are right down the road. Also, hit up the Ocoee Rriver or Hiwassee River. Enjoy.

My husband and I took 2 vacations to Chattanooga last year and decided we wanted to figure out a way to move there. We took another vacation there in October and in November my husband started a new job there! We have a place in Ooltewah and while he is primarily living there now, I am working my way towards joining him soon! It's so easy to fall in love with Chattanooga. We love Bluegrass Grill and we just went to Clumpies for the first time this past weekend. I subscribed and I look forward to more! And yes, Chattanooga is overflowing with good food. 😊

My husband and I plan to move to either Chattanooga or northern GA later on... We've been to Chattanooga but would love to learn more about the hiking opportunities nearby, and maybe some of the different neighborhoods, why did you pick the neighborhood you're in, etc. And of course the food is always good!

Snoopers Rock has the best sunrise view in the state, but you have to get there super early in order to see it. The sun rises literally right in front of you over the crest of a mountain while you're overlooking the gorge, its truly something to behold. Signal point is a great trail that has a waterfall you can swim in with a steep decline if you're adventurous. Tremont Tavern and Main St Meats have the best burgers in town no question. Rembrandts and Tony's in the art district are fantastic and connected by little alley ways that look like they're straight out of Italy. Welcome to Chatt!

There are so many outdoor activities available in the area I don't know how you start. But a drive up to the Ocoee Whitewater Center and to the top of Chilhowee Mountain and the waterfall up there would be pretty cool.

Love the view from Chilhowee. So many family memories from there. We’d pick up a bucket of chicken and drive up to the top overlook and sit on the wall and lunch. So beautiful.

Welcome to Chattanooga! I think Sara is carrying a Z6 or Z7, FTZ, and an F mount prime. Very nice! I built my tiny Channel around my Z6 which I've had since it was introduced. Try Snoopers Rock at sunrise sometime! You can thank me later. LOL I have a couple of videos about it, on the most recent I used my X-T3. If you like beer, Chattanooga Brewing's "Chestnut Street Brown Ale" is amazing and is available at many restaurants around town. One more thing, we Chattanoogans call trains trains. We only use Choo Choo to talk about the famous hotel you two visited. :) Again, welcome to my home town!

Hey I’ve lived here for 3 years! And my favorite food places are river street deli! (The owner has a great story). Southside Social great restaurant/bar/bowling alley! Stir is great for brunch and there is a dog park in Southside that’s called play wash pint where it’s a dog park and they have a craft beers! Lots of great breweries in Southside too!

River Street Deli is SO GOOD. The best sandwiches in town. And yes, he has that grouchy NYC deli guy thing down pat, but he's a softie.
