I love Three Rivers Homestead and really appreciate your and Jessica’s transparency. Thank you for continuing to create content despite the criticism. It is not for nothing and you are an encouragement for so many of us young mama’s seeking Godly mentors. Having started from ground zero after getting married and having kids, I wouldn’t know many of the homemaking skills I do today without your KZbin channel. God bless and praying over the arrival of baby number 8.

My favorites together. All the comments like that, I agree! I thank the Lord for both of you. As a mama of 5 without family very close by, and not many other big families that homeschool and (attempt to have a) homestead; I’m so thankful for your channels. Bucket list dream is to hang out with people like you too- bold, honest and real. And I appreciate that you do keep a few things just for yourselves. People who criticize online just have nothing better to do in their own private lives. Keep up the great work ladies. We all appreciate all you teach us and model for us.

Two of my favorite YT moms! I loved how you guys talked about the strangle of sleeping during the first year. There are some YT moms that seem to have it all under control so it makes us believe there's something very wrong with us when we have issues such as sleep deprivation. However; you guys were realistic and it doesn't make you look like you are worst of a mom than others. On the contrary. Because you embrace the challenges of motherhood, and still are joyful and fulfilled.

I went from cooking for six,sometimes more to cooking for four down to two and now for one- this was very difficult for me as I feel it’s much easier to cook for more lol. But now with tips from both of you- which helps for larger families and smaller families- I do groceries only once a month,have way less food waste,make my own butter,bread and yogurt. I want to thank both of you for helping me find my way to cooking for myself- my husband passed away and it’s taken me a while to even be able to cook again- he was such a fan of my cooking lol- after two years I started to find my way back to cooking and eating better and healthier and I’ve now lost 78 pounds. It’s a whole different way of living,eating and cooking but your tips,videos and just watching your videos has helped immensely! Thank you ❤

So sorry for the loss of your husband. Good for you for getting back into cooking. I'm sure your hubby is proud of you! I am divorced with grown kids so cooking for one. I like to "bulk" cook when I have time. Like making soup or chili that I can freeze some & also. Bbq, baking, or pan cooking a good amount of meat I can use throughout the week.

Hi, I’m Grace from Korea, a mom of four, homeschooling, homemaking, and I also subscribe both of you! It is such a pleasing moment to hear you guys talking! The food that we eat in Korea is quite different from yours but, the idea of making meal plan and making something new out of leftover will help me a lot.:)

Aloha Grace, we are from Hawaii and my husband is half Korean. I have a similar challenge because we eat many Asian types of dishes. Love your idea to use the general concept of meal planning! Also thought it might be helpful to have different types of cuisine to do this pantry challenge and see what people make? Fried rice is a clean out the refrigerator type of dish we do.

I find that when people eat home consistently they will not waste as much…..if you have a habit of eating out, then the home food bought or cooked already can go to waste. I am with you ladies, no waste policy but it takes being diligent and intentional at looking at all those containers in the fridge and keeping them on the top shelf where they can be seen.

I’m a fan of you both. I am 65 and have 3 grown daughters. I learn so much from you both and wish we would’ve had the internet, social media in the 90’s when I was a young mom. If only the internet and social media had interesting content like this and not the evil content. My mom passed away when our first baby was 7 months old, however, she wasn’t good at teaching life skills so I had to learn from lots of mistakes, friends or read a book. We don’t homestead and we didn’t homeschool. I was a lousy cook for years - never enjoyed it. But 7 years ago had to change my diet for my health, I had to cook from scratch every meal and found out I love it. We very rarely eat out now. Thank you for your efforts. ❤

To even think about these two ladies having to deal with trolls, criticism and negativity just frustrates and blows me away. They put so much love and care into providing for their families and putting together content for us to enjoy. I have a feeling that the Negative Nellie’s couldn’t begin to hold their own if compared to either one of them, therefore they criticize. Love you both and anxiously await each of your new releases.

Hi Lisa! I loved hearing you guys talk about nursing to sleep and cosleeping. It seems like everyone sleep trains, but it’s not something we want to do, and there’s a lot of pressure to do it. How do you guys handle weaning from breastfeeding? How long do you nurse your babies to sleep?
@MargieM10
@MargieM10 Жыл бұрын
We have eight too and sleep training seemed almost barbaric and unnatural to me. Most of mine nursed to sleep until around a year but would still wake up for a few sips here and there. As for weaning, each baby is different. I've had them wean as young as 15mos until almost 4. They'll definitely let you know!

When I got to live with only my husband and our baby i really needed to learn to cook less 😂 we would freeze some left overs and use some for lunch and would eat a week freezermeals. Now we have 4 kids and hardly any leftovers. But when they will fly out over a decade i need to learn to cook for 2 again
